This review spans 2 visits in quick succession. One was lunch and the other dinner. Diametrically opposite experiences. At lunch, we had a non vegetarian Kebab platter with a roti basket and a few cocktails. it was a good experience. No complaints. We were told by the staff and the restaurant manager, a Mr. KD that they have live music, a DJ, etc, in the evening. We were encouraged to visit along with our friends. Now, given that lunch was a good experience, we came over the very next day with some friends. Big mistake. Now, there's music, and then there's a din. This was the latter. We were offered indoor seating where they assured us we would have a more pleasant experience. In hindsight, we should have walked out. But we gave it a chance. Bigger mistake. We ordered our food and drinks. It was so dark that we didn't get a single photo of the nachos or fries or anything else. We are the only patrons in the inside area. The only other table left because of the volume. it is way past 10 pm at night, and the music starts getting progressively louder. We requested them to lower the volume. We are told other guests would want the music. There were NO others. Then, we were told that they have guidelines and directives from the management to keep the volume high. After a while, a few guests came in, danced, didn't eat or drink a thing, and left. We gave up as well, after more than 2 hours of torture. As we asked for the bill, offers to lower the music were made. We can not understand the logic here at all. Fast becoming one of the most happening places in Bandra, TAP has replaced what once used to be Red Ant Cafe. Ambiance is fantastic and environment is infectious. You feel that you're stepping into a perfect sports bar right from the stair case. Walls are littered with quotes from legendary athletes. They have two areas - a dance floor and open air roof top. The bright disco lights inside provide a great touch. The décor is really good. Indoor there are tables with sofas or bar stools around flanking the dance floor, whereas the outdoor seating is perfect to relax for a while, or to have a smoke.

The atmosphere is electric every night. Nights are when you party, and so the AC section after 10 PM or so is changed to a dance floor by moving all the tables to the corners and create a huge floor (you'll need to be a couple to get to dance though) The open area has a massive seating (with a huge screen for sports lover to enjoy live sports), that is surprisingly not hot with soft music. The inside sections are well accommodated, giving you enough place to dance as well as enjoy your drinks. They have a game arena where one can indulge in playing pool, darts and fun games. On weekends they have a full cover charge of 1k per person, be mindful about that before you decide to go. I find their price concept very interesting, as prices vary according to the day of the week and time. Their cocktails are good and there is a good variety of food considering that it is not a restaurant and they are all quite nice and cheap. One of the best places to hang out with friends.
