One of my worst experiences staying in a hotel, and I have stayed in some really bad ones in my time.
The Hotel had multiple issues and I will start with the least of them.
The Check-in Procedure - I came in earlier than normal check-in hours and was happy to pay for early check-in. But when I asked about early check-in, I was told that there are no rooms available, but as soon as I say oh, I was willing to pay, a room immediately popped up magically. I checked in at around 9.30 which OYO's app confirmed was 0-30% of the rate of the room and from 10 am was free. the person at the desk didn’t even acknowledge what I was trying to show her on the app, well we don’t matter right. So, I was charged Rs 500/- for the early check-in and was not given a receipt and was asked to pay in cash only, further what made it questionable is the fact that my “Check-In” message from OYO came in only after 11 am. So, I’m guessing they aren’t showing this to OYO.
The Room – The room was decent in terms of size but had a horrible smell in the room itself and the toilets had a musty, bitter smell. The plumbing seemed to be bad as well because the water smelled odd too. The Service – This is what made me most furious, I had to go to a wedding and got back later at around 11.45 pm, I called room service and asked for a couple of bottles of water, which came promptly. But 30 minutes later I got a called at 12.45 pm when I was asleep asking for who was staying with me (I was alone by the way) I was spoken to rudely asking if I had a lady in the room, the reception thought a lady had asked for water and I (a guy) took it when it was sent up. When I explained that there is no one with me he insisted that he needs to check the room at 1.00 am (Which he did). OYO I ask you, where is guest privacy? Is it your policy to wake someone up at 1.00 am and check their room? I found this rude, insensitive and the worst case of staying in a hotel ever. I will never stay in an OYO again and will make sure I tell people about my experience and also tell them about the excellent stay I had...

This is hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. They sprayed some pesticides & this made another hard time. The strong smell continued for couple of hours at midnight. ||||No Water: There was no water in the washrooms. We had to switch rooms, and even then, the toilets and wash basins were filthy, old, and unusable.||||Zero Hygiene: The sheets and pillows were stained and smelled awful. ||||Broken Facilities: The AC barely worked, and the geyser was dysfunctional.||||The poor/helpless receptionist and staff had no interest in addressing complaints. Read moreIt was a very bad experience staying at this Hotel, and I wonder how it is rated as a 3-star hotel?
Since I reached quite late at night I did not have any option, but requested the staff to change my room to end up getting more confused, since it was difficult to say which room was more dirtier than the other. I cannot say for all the rooms but my room was quite filthy, and infested with roaches and mice.
The bathroom door wouldn't close since the latch was broken, and also the sliding window lock was broken. The comforter quilt had blood stains or maybe ketchup or whatever and the staff did not change it even after requesting.
There is a lot of traffic noise coming from the street outside and since the hotel is right at the junction of Link Road & Chincholi Bunder, the traffic noise is constant throughout the night and never stops even till early morning when it picks up even more.
The staff is not trained well, and they answer your call while chewing pan or ghutka. Also the room did not have any intercom facility so it is difficult to call for room service. The staff is quite corrupt and charge you more for the food you order, I could understand from the parcel that the breakfast that was brought by one of the boys was from a food stall, and not a decent restaurant, and he charged me more than double for what it actually would have costed.
I would never suggest this hotel to anyone irrespective of how convenient it's...
