Located in Malad, Stacks & Racks will blow your mind with their amazing ambience and a huge variety of American food. On entering the eatery, the interiors and the decor will give you a complete American Diner feel with uber cool posters and photos hanging on the wall. The Ambience was really cool and appealing and got us more excited to try the food
To start off with our foodscapde we ordered something which can never really go wrong, Onion Rings and The Cheesy Jalapeno. They were at our table within 10-15 Minutes, we liked the service too.
Onion Rings Coming to the food, the onion rings were really crispy and hot, the onion inside was piping hot, the dip they gave was superb and went well with the rings.
The Cheesy Jalapeno The Cheesy Jalapeno was basically medium-sized jalapenos filled with cheese inside. It was really different than the Cheese & Jalapeno combinations we've had previously. They were fried perfectly and the jalapenos weren't that spicy and the melted cheese filling added a good taste to the dish. We were satisfied with the dishes and couldn't wait to try more from Stacks & Racks.
The Naughty Sheila Known for its burgers, we called for their popular chicken burger, The Naughty Sheila, which consisted of a minced chicken patty, mozzarella & gouda cheese served with caramelised onion and pickles. The first bite of that burger and the chicken lover amongst us was left craving for more. The patty was absolutely delicious and the blend of the cheese and caramelised onion with it added a lot of flavour to the burger and made it even more tastier. No chicken lover should miss out on the chicken burgers of Stacks and Racks.
Pork Hotdog Next thing we called for was Pork Hotdog, which was like a truly American hotdog. The meat was perfectly good and the sauces really blended with it. It was a little difficult and messy to eat but it was definitely worth the effort and the price. We've not had such a delicious hot dog in a long long time.
Philly Cheese Steak After the delicious hotdog, we wanted to try their sandwiches too, hence we called for the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. It was simply one of the best sandwiches we've ever had hands down. The sandwich consisted of sliced tenderloin, caramelised onion, pepper, mushroom along with good amount of cheese. The quantity was good and was really filling too.
The Tree Hugger Well before all the vegetarians get disappointed, this place doesn't compromise on the veg food. The Tree Hugger served with back buns and a veg patty with lots of cheese and caramelised onions was truly delicious. The patty was so juicy and tasty with the onions and cheese, it is definitely on the list of the Best Veg Burgers in Mumbai.
Overall, we were blown away by Stacks and Racks. From food to ambience to service, everything was just superb. A trip to Malad from no matter which part of Mumbai is definitely worth the food they serve.

Read moreCited in Malad West bang opposite Toyota showroom, 'Stacks and Racks' is one of the top-rated food joints in the neighborhood. The place has a western décor with a rustic country like feel to it. The ambience is simple and subtle, yet appealing in a way. Being an all-American food joint, the menu covers a wide spectrum of burgers, rolls, sandwiches and steaks. The meat served here is one of the finest and the pricing is quite reasonable.
Our table was hosted by Mr. Nitin and the dishes we had were suggested by him. The service is quick. The average order time per dish is roughly 10-15 minutes. The staff is helpful and courteous.
Starting off with the appetizers, we ordered "Louisiana Hot Chicken Wings", "The T-Loin Striptease" and "Speedy Gonzales' Bacon N cheese Jalapeno poppers". They're some of the finest options in the menu. The portion sizes are generous, they're quite filling. The wings are peculiarly enticing. The have the perfect blend of tanginess and spiciness, very flavorful. They're served with Ranch dip, but they taste better without it. The T-loin strip tease is a combination of Julliene cut tenderloin and veggies. It has a lovely taste. The jalapeno poppers are on the spicier side of the plate. In terms of taste, they're alright. It is served with a mint dip which enhances its flavour.
The beverage section doesn't have a lot to offer. It features milkshakes and reinvigorating coolers. We has " Kit Krushers"(both chocolate and vanilla), "Green apple iced tea" and "Pink lemonade". The Krushers tasted really good, they're a treat to the taste buds. I recommend the one with vanilla. The one with chocolate also tastes good, but the flavours don't really meander around, it's a little too focused on the characteristic chocolaty taste. You can never go wrong with iced tea. If you're looking for a tangy variation of regular ice tea, I recommend the green apple iced team. The pink lemonade has a distinctive taste. Although, it is very refreshing, in terms of flavours and after taste, it's pretty much alright.
They serve the best steaks! "Jack Daniels Steak" : Submerged in Jack Daniels sauce, the medium rare tenderloin steak is extremely flavorful. It is served with herb rice and veggies. In terms of overall taste, it's like an orchestra of flavours. "Tenderloin Steak" : It is Medium rare tenderloin steak served with bacon rasher in mushroom sauce. Served with veggies and mashed potatoes, it is absolutely delectable.
A meal is never complete without a good sugarfix. "Apple pie a la mode", a combination of warm traditional apple pie and vanilla ice cream seals the deal. The pie tasted amazing with the ice cream. If you're here just for desserts, I recommend "Stacks N Racks special" and "Ann's Philadelphia cheesecake".

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Stacks & Racks, an outstanding American diner, for a long-awaited family lunch. Despite encountering an unexpected issue with the air conditioning, which unfortunately seemed to be a recurring problem during my previous visits, my family and I were determined to make the most of our dining experience in the operational section. And boy, were we glad we did!
From the moment we sat down, our well-informed server guided us through the menu, offering impeccable recommendations that were truly on point. We embarked on a delightful culinary journey, starting with the S&R Smash Double Patty Burger, a masterpiece that combined succulent flavors and a satisfying texture. The Caesar Salad with crispy bacon was a refreshing and savory delight, perfectly balanced with its dressing.
For our pasta fix, we indulged in the Penne in Pink Sauce, a delightful dish that showcased the chef's culinary finesse. The Saturday special, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, transported our taste buds to the sunny Caribbean, bursting with aromatic spices and tender meat. And to end our meal on a sweet note, the Blueberry Cheesecake took center stage, presenting a heavenly combination of rich creaminess and a burst of fruity delight.
To complement our feast, we sipped on a refreshing Cold Coffee and Strawberry Mojitos, which were flawlessly prepared and enhanced our dining experience.
Stacks & Racks truly impressed us with their commitment to delivering European American cuisine at its finest. The chefs deserve applause for consistently cooking each dish to perfection, exceeding our wildest gastronomic expectations.
However, while the culinary team thrived, I couldn't help but notice that the servers lacked a bit of finesse in their interactions. A simple smile and a touch of courtesy would undoubtedly elevate their already commendable work to new heights.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Stacks & Racks to anyone seeking an absolute paradise for European American food. It is a haven where exceptional flavors and culinary expertise merge flawlessly. Despite minor service hiccups, the outstanding quality of the food more than compensates for it. Prepare to be delighted and indulge in a dining experience that will leave a lasting...
