Photos do too much justice for this “hotel”. It seems nice through photos and even when you walk in the lobby, it makes you believe it is a “privilege” to stay here. Checking in was a pain as they asked us for all kinds of documentation (ID, passport, etc). Once we had the key to our room, we went up and we’re met with a very hot elevator. Immediately we realized that only the lobby was kept “fresh” and air conditioned. We made our way up to our room and opened the door. We immediately came across a pungent smell of smoke. We figured the last guest had smoked in the room and the smell would take time to get out. We were tired from traveling so we made our way to the bed. The duvet is covered only by two thin sheets which is fine… if the duvet was clean. The duvet was yellow and stained. I was immediately uncomfortable sleeping with those bed sheets. We called for housekeeping and they told us there was nothing they could do. We asked them to: remove the sheets and give us clean ones, take the duvet, give us only the thin sheets for blankets. They instead gave us another set of thin sheets and in between was a brown scratchy blanket. Very unprofessional. We had no choice and no way of getting a refund so we sucked it up. We then realized that no water bottles were provided. We ordered water and we’re charged for it by the way. We dealt with the room for the day. The next morning, we woke up to our neighbors loud television and a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We got ready and were heading out when we realized that no “do not disturb” sign was give. We asked the front desk for one and then we went for their complimentary breakfast buffet. Few options were provided and disappointing to be honest. The only good thing seemed to be the cold water bottle that we again, had to pay for. We figured it was not worth staying longer at this hotel and checked out early. It is my first time visiting India and this hotel was definitely...
Read moreI didn’t have an id proof and I was ruthlessly asked to cancel the booking instead of being patient while I could search if documents in my phone. The guy at the reception had a lot of attitude as of he owned a TAJ. After submitting my documents I was given a 2 single bed room whereas I was on a staycation with my partner. How stupid and sim he could be with that attitude all over his face(wish I knew his name). Such people don’t deserve to work in customer service or customer facing industry as they don’t no how to talk generally. I was on the verge of losing it but my partner was dealing with it and got the room changes. The room we were moved too was so claustrophobic. This hotel is on a prime location of malad Link Road and the kind of maintenance was shocking. It’s really upset me to live I would live there for free. There was dust at the corner of the bed. I just ignored it as I alrdy had a bad start of the day. There were cockroaches roaming around on their restaurant at breakfast. I have visited this place for dinner once and the view of this restaurant was really disturbing. Looked like the hotel is going out of business. Looks like they need a better crew to work for and better maintenance to get back in business. Overall I was really dissapointed and the only reason I stayed here is everything was booked due to vacation. I would not recommend this place...
Read moreThis place needs to be avoided at all costs, extremely bad atmosphere and even worse service.
Everyone starts with the good points so let me flip and start with the bad ones - The bed linen seems to have been bought second hand (most probably sheets that have been discarded by other hotels) extremely rough textured sheets and when asked to replace was replaced with an equally bad sheet. Further protests were met with "Humare paas to ye hi hai" (translation - That's all that we have)
Extra Bed in the room is a mattress on the floor adorned with a similarly rough bed sheet (as explained in point 1)
The rooms are full of mosquitoes and if you ask for a mosquito repellant be ready for a wait of 30 to 45 minutes for the request to be fulfilled
The rooms do not have kettles so hot water needs to be ordered from the kitchen which is yet another wait time. Kettles are only in the Executive Rooms and if you ask to be upgraded then bad luck they are all booked out.
All in all a place that should be avoided at all costs. There are much better options available at the same price range. Go for one of those. The pictures of the rooms are misleading. Just for perspective in their rooms the televisions are just a foot away from the bed and none...
