Absolutely Horrific Experience - Worst Hotel and Customer Service Ever
I recently booked a stay at Red Palm Residency through Goibibo, and I can confidently say it was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was met with deceit, rude behavior, and outright disrespect from the hotel staff.
First, despite having a confirmed booking, the hotel claimed that rooms were sold out and asked me to wait for an hour. After patiently waiting for what was supposed to be just a short delay, the hotel owner had the audacity to inform me that they were not honoring my booking because Goibibo’s pricing was "too low." Apparently, they decided they weren’t happy with the rate and conveniently canceled my stay—without any accountability.
When I politely asked the reception staff for assistance in resolving the issue, I was met with dismissiveness and blatant rudeness. The receptionist completely ignored my situation, refused to help, and even had the audacity to tell me not to "disturb" him. Imagine being stranded with a confirmed booking and getting treated like an annoyance for simply asking for the room you paid for!
To make matters worse, Goibibo had no proper contact support to resolve the situation, and the hotel staff outright refused to offer any refund. They clearly didn't care that they were the ones at fault for lying about availability and then denying my booking after keeping me waiting for hours. The lack of professionalism and empathy was shocking and disgraceful.
What makes this experience particularly outrageous is that the hotel staff blatantly violated customer trust. Their approach to hospitality is non-existent—no courtesy, no professionalism, and no accountability. They had absolutely no regard for the inconvenience and stress they caused.
I urge everyone to think twice before booking Red Palm Residency. If you value your money, time, and dignity, avoid this hotel like the plague. Read moreGenerally, Red Palm is way too overpriced for the value of the rooms and service you receive. Dingy and loud, the hotel itself is situated right above two nightclubs. The rooms are not insulated at all from the sounds below and is extremely noisey late into the night.
It gets worse. Upon checking out I realized that I had left some expensive makeup on the sink counter. The reception manager informed me dismissively and rather rudely that it had been thrown out, but later agreed to pay for the item. I return back to the hotel and am informed it's too expensive to replace and suddenly they'll only pay 50%. That 50% turned into nothing when suddenly "hotel policy" is not to replace anything left in the room. The manager then lied and said he didn't promise anything, that I was at fault, that it wasn't left where I had said I left it, that he said to not buy and bring a receipt for the item but to get a quote... anything to discredit my claim and remove responsibility from his initial promise of replacing it. After battling out those lies, the management then informed me I could not speak to the owner or have his contact information, although he was the one saying that there was nothing that could be done. An unreachable and too busy owner to deal with an unhappy guest? This whole operation at Red Palm is one based in a whole lack of ethics, lack of actual training and policy. Red Palm is run off the sloughing off blame and responsibility onto others and hiding behind lies and desks.
Upon asking for the manager again he comes outside to sit with me and asks me if I 'smoke up'...and suggests to come back tomorrow so we can speak to the cleaner and come to a compromise. Read moreIt was a good hotel as it is just 4 km away from Airport and situated in kharwest area which is near to local trains station as well.I had two rooms 201 nd 202..I stayed in 201.....201 was not having any big windows or balcony..202 was good in which my colleague stayed...Housekeeping staff is very sincere and prompt..Rooms were good for rest..Few things disappointed me like Ac had no remote and it was making noise..Moreover we were unable to control anything as manual buttons were also not working.I had to manage with fan which was fine.The other thing which dissappointed me that they were giving a bad active o2 water bottles which had very heavy taste..They should change it and instead keep kinley which has a nice taste..Check in was prompt...Check out process was also delayed as Edc machine was not working..We informed in advance that we are about to make check out and has already paid half money via debit card...We went for breakfast outside..After 15 mins we came then he informed us to pay via cash as machine not working..We again had to go to Atm which was quite irritating as usually travellers do not keep such big amount of cash.Hence wasting time..Overall experience was good but expectations are still...
