Doolally Taproom - Khar — Restaurant in Mumbai

All these years I have been hearing a lot about the beer offerings we get at Doolally and after such a long wait we visited at Khar outlet yesterday for lunch and I can vouch for this place for quality brewed beers. Talking about the ambience it’s mainly all white decor which looks premium and aesthetically pleasing. The outdoors here can be a fun place to be in the evening as they have ample outdoor dining arena as well. Moving towards F&B, we tried their New England IPA beer which is a new add-on to their fleet of beer offerings- Fruity notes & perfect on the pallet. Also tried my all-time favourite Apple cider which is something one cannot go wrong with. My personal new favourite over here is Alphonso Mead. What an incredible creation by Doolally. It’s a must-try if you are here. The taste of Alphonso mango notes is pretty much evident and that perfect carbonation to it is something that will make you repeat it for sure. For the appetisers, we had Buldak fire chicken which was wok-tossed chicken tossed in Korean spices and gochujang sauce and topped with cheddar cheese. Perfect one to munch along with your beers. Next up we ordered Kerala pepper prawns which was fabulous! Chunky prawns sautéed in peppers, curry leaves and red chillies. Perfectly spiced and lovely taste. The grounded aromatics used clearly elevated the dish overall. Later for the main course, our call was for Burmese Khaw swe which would easily suffice a single person for a one-time meal. The taste was good and the consistency which is the key element of any good Khaw swe was spot on. Also at Doolally how could someone miss their Mangalorean chicken ghee roast? Served with onion ghee rice and Kori rotti and cucumber slices this is hands down the best ghee roast we have tried in a while. The plating is very well done and overall it’s something I’ll never miss when coming back here again. Also for the sweet tooth cravings they have these really amazing desserts here - Rocky Road and Apple Pie which is definitely something to munch on after having scrumptious meal here. Absolutely authentic, smooth, and refreshing. Helles Lager – A classic, crisp, and perfectly balanced brew. Food – A Perfect Pairing with Beer We started with the House Fries, served with five varieties of dips. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the dips added an exciting burst of flavors—an absolute must-try!

The Mangalorean Chicken Bao stole the show! Soft, fluffy bao filled with deliciously spiced chicken—it’s hands down one of the best baos we’ve ever had.

For the mains, we tried:

Chicken Parmigiana – A crispy, generous fried chicken served with spaghetti aglio olio and a tangy tomato sauce. The creamy veggie sauce on the side complemented the dish perfectly. Asian BBQ Chicken Burger – A thick, crispy fried chicken patty drenched in Asian BBQ sauce and cheese sauce, all packed in a soft black bun. Flavorful and satisfying! Beyond Food – A Pet-Friendly, Fun Space Doolally isn’t just about great beer and food; it’s about the experience. It’s pet-friendly, and they even offer free pet food, making it a welcoming spot for pet parents. Doolally Taproom is a fantastic restaurant located in Khar, Mumbai. What sets it apart is their amazing collection of craft beers. They have a wide range of flavors and styles to choose from, so you can find something that suits your taste perfectly. And the best one from my side was Imperial Stout beer. The ambience of the restaurant is vibeful and has indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. They also serve delicious food to complement your beer, so ordered

Doolally's Imperial Stout : New addition to their menu, brewed with a very generous helping of black malts and fine continental hops, and then aged to perfection for a month in our tanks. It leads with bold roast and coffee notes, supported by a rich tapestry of alcohol warmth, vanilla, chocolate, and a hint of smoke. Its thick, creamy mouthfeel is perfectly balanced by moderate carbonation, and harmonizing with a well-measured bitterness of 25 IBU.

Four Cheese Pizza : It is an absolute delight. The combination of mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, and gorgonzola creates a heavenly symphony of flavors. It's a must-try for all cheese lovers out there! Trust me, you won't be able to resist its gooey, melty goodness. 😋🧀

Vegetable ishtew : It is a delicious and comforting dish made up with south spices. It's a creamy and mildly spiced stew made with a variety of mix vegetables. The flavors are beautifully balanced. Taste was delicate and was served with Masala Rice.

Apple Pie : It's a classic American dessert. The combination of sweet, tender apples, warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, and a flaky crust with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it makes it’s simply irresistible. It's the perfect treat for any occasion or just to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Overall it is a nice place and main part this is a pet friendly restaurant where you can carry your pets along with you. The I service is prompt whereas the staff is also courteous. Looking forward to visit here...
