A courtyard refers to an open area often surrounding by a building or complex that is open to the sky. Unplugged Courtyard is based on the same concept which is a huge verandah next to single storeyed complex where you can unwind yourselves in a relaxed manner with amazing food and mocktails/ cocktails as per your desire. Wood benches & colored wrong iron chairs are laid on the patio for seating while a huge neem tree stands adding much liveliness to the entire arena. Memories of the restaurant are aligned at entrance with some poloraid pics. Popular music nos. are played to keep the energy flowing at all times.

After settling in, we ordered a variety of cocktails and veg & non veg snacks. What stood out was mostly was the All is well sachanga which were the thinnest of cigar rolls (more like Chimichanga) filled with baked beans corn and bit of cottage cheese. Then the chicken ganna (chicken rolled on Sugarcane sticks) was an unusual appetizer too. Chilli Paneer Ghosla which was a patty filled with Chindian tastes covered with a slice of melted cheese. Presentation wise it was too good indeed. The chicken Nachos with cheese was a great cruchy chicken salad topped with Nachos and cheese. Butter chicken tikka was seriously outstanding when hot served with a garlic naan but the combination was a little too dry for my kind of taste. However, you can pair it up with a Unplugged Margharita or a LIIT blood to gobble and guzzle the food inside you. What stood out the most amongst the snacks was the Aam Aadmi Chicken that was a mixture of the leftover chilly chicken, rice and naan in a small tiffin box. The taste was unusually invograting but the quantity is a bit less than expected for the price that is charged. The Italian dishes like those of pasta and pizzas were above average too.

The main course food was pretty conforming and up to standards. The Matkey ki Dal & Mutton Kua Dua ( mutton dish cooked on the bone with a curry) were delightful with tandoori rotis. The Andhra styled mutton biryani was a total wholesome surprise of the afternoon! Mix with small pieces and shreds of mutton and adequate spices it was the perfect way to end our glorious food journey. The desserts included Brownie with Ice Cream, Churros with Bailey's foam and fresh fruits with Chocolate fondue. All the three were at their best. The Bailey's cream made the Churros quite a treat!

Full marks to the food department and the Chef Mr Surendra who is quite humble in his approach and lends an ear when we tried to discuss about his creations. Overall, Service is standard as per requirement but it can be improved upon surely. This is really one of best places for food in CP and I was glad that we had an...

Vibe is LOUD. Music is LOUD, characterizing Delhi of course. Crowd is posh and lively. And of course it comes with the charm of Connaught Place. It has indoor seating, outdoor seating, rooftop seating. The place is a bit clumsy, crowded, not spacious at all. Bumping into other customers and waiters is a regular thing here. The music is so loud that, it is impossible to have a conversation. It is an apt place for partying, especially on weekends, when it comes with live music performance. Live music ends at around 11, so it is smart to reach early. The place shuts down after 12, despite it being mentioned 1 on google. Menu choices are not very varied. Limited choices. Food quantity is appropriate. Food quality is okayish at best, nothing to die for, in my opinion. Habibi platter was okayish. Paneer tikka was really good, had really big 5 chunks of paneer. Chinatown noodles was good, light, nothing extraordinary. Triple Schezwan Rice Bowl was okayish at best. Murgh Dum Biryani was good. Paneer Kulcha was fantastic. Chilli Garlic Naan and Malabar Porotta was okay. Jahangiri Murgh Korma was good. Paneer iteme are really good here. But if you ask me, if it is worth going back for the food, I would say NO. Bar Menu is good though. Berry Mush was really good. Desperado was fantastic. Pina Colada is a safe bet anywhere. They have hookah too, Hookah was strong; tried the pan flavour.

The real negative deal is the taxes they add on the pricing. 25% vat on drinks, which is a whooper con of this place. 5% gst on food, 10% service Charge. The bill gets real high with drinks.

Outdoor seating made comfortable with coolers. But there were a whole lot of mosquitoes. The table was horribly wobbly. The music is numbingly loud, becomes very difficult to place orders, get hold of waiters.

It was an okayish experience, nothing out of the world. But I would choose Connaught Place Unplugged Courtyard over Gurgaon Unplugged Courtyard, any day! Okay for one...

If you're looking for the perfect date night or a reunion or just for a beer, this is the perfect place to be for the winters. Unplugged Courtyard on the middle circle in Connaught Place will provide you with the best open area seating in town so as to enjoy the chilling weather and it's famous cocktails to warm you up. There is a huge variety of mocktails and cocktails to choose from and a fresh menu to take care of your appetite. For salads, Beetroot orange and cheese salad is strongly recommended. English Warm Creamy Mushroom Soup with garlic Toast will make up your starters. Let me give you the list of cocktails we ordered in the sequence I loved them the most. The Courtyard Pot The Unplugged Margarita (option of strawberry&mint or mango&ginger; chose the former) LIIT Blood (topped with red wine for stronger booze) The Ginger Sour Whisky Sour Roji (lytchee flavored drink) If you're looking for something strong, Go for The Courtyard Pot and LIIT Blood.

Now it's time for the food that we tried at this amazing bar. Sip on your cocktails with Mushroom Picante, Blue Cheese Pears Toast and Fresh vegetables, olive, mozzarella & cherry tomato Skewers with cheese spread dip. I would strongly recommend Penne Pasta with herb and creme sauce and Spinach and corn stuffed cottage cheese steak with barbeque sauce. You literally would want to come back just for these.

Last but not the least, to complete your lunch, Rum chocolate triangle and plum cake Slice with vanilla frosting with do you justice (plum cake, obviously it's Christmas time).

The USP of this place is that you won't have to wait for a server. They'll reach out to you on their own.

If you get to drink a lot, book a cab from #Uber. Happy drinking! Happy...
