We made the horrible mistake of visiting Embassy today — easily the worst decision ever. We were already exhausted from hopping all over CP, so the first place we saw, we sat. According to Zomato, there was a 15% discount, but surprise — they don’t accept Zomato or any other payment partners. And when did we find out? At the end, when we asked for the bill! The old, incredibly rude waiter had the audacity to snap at us saying “we’ve already mentioned that at the entrance.” Really? That’s your excuse? Fine, we paid via UPI anyway. But then this same miserable man had the nerve to come back and rudely yell at us again, claiming he’d already said no Zomato payments. EXCUSE ME — who the hell do you think you are, talking like that to paying customers? The food was passable at best — and to top it off, there was a bloody fly in my dish! If you don’t accept Zomato or any other partners, THEN FOR GOD’S SAKE, UPDATE IT ON ZOMATO. You clowns are taking reservations via Zomato and then turning around and saying you don’t take their payment? Absolute trash service and attitude. SHAMEFUL.

From the moment I stepped into The Embassy Restaurant, I was submerged in an ocean of flavor, drowning in waves of culinary ecstasy. The ambiance? As smooth and rich as a perfectly aged wine. The service? Flowed like a gentle stream—effortless, attentive, and utterly refreshing. And the food… oh, the food! Each bite was a torrential downpour of taste, drenching my palate in decadence. The flavors cascaded like a mighty waterfall, soaking every sense in their depth and complexity. The textures? A monsoon of perfection—crispy where it needed to be, tender where it mattered, and always dripping with richness. By the time dessert arrived, I was fully submerged, gasping for air amidst spoonfuls of indulgence. The Embassy Restaurant doesn’t just serve meals—it floods you with an experience so immersive, you leave completely saturated in satisfaction.

One of the oldest restaurant in Connought Place. The Ambiance quite cool and nice. Nice menu with wide variety of of Indian, oriental and international dishes, sandwiches, pasta all available for your palate. Beverage menu is good but only few brands wew available from beer listed in the menu. About food murg malai tikka was great but seekh kebab were not to my taste. Butter chicken was excellent so was the rarra gosht chicken pulao or biryani what ever you call was average. Overall we enjoyed our dinner with smiling old dedicated staff. 5th Oct, 2023. Order starter non veg platter and hara kebab both were Nice. In main course as usual all time favorite butter chicken, dal makhani and rara gosht. Rarra gosht was a bit more salty not up to the taste that we are use to. Overall not a great experience this time.

The place doesn't need any review or recommendation due to its long and steady history of amazing food and superb ambience serving its ever growing customer base. Being a desi Delhi foodie, this place brings an occasional spring of freshness for me, with the amazing corporate like ambience. Ambience which may make many Delhiite feel an urge to sit properly and eat with manners. ;)

Though, the nonchalant and cool public that fills in doesn't make you feel like that. Even the firangis are pretty engrossed in their food because it is splendid and the rest are pretty much well drunk to even care. I have been to this place quite a lot, primarily due to the nostalgic value attached to it.

Well, that is because in the late 1980s, this place played a great role in bringing me to the world. My parents met for the first time at this place and thus, decided that they are the ones for each other, and the rest is history. But that in itself wasn't enough to bring me back again and again to this restaurant, but, the food was.

Especially the one dish I have simply loved here is the 'Fish n Chips'. Crisp to an absolute delight. Although the recent renovations, which included adding a sitting area in the center of the ground floor hall has made the place a tad bit difficult to move, but still I won't call it congested. Lastly, this place is a must for all those English movies fans, who see fancy restaurants with courteous service and scintillating lighting effects in the movies and wish to have an evening like that. This place is going rock...

Had to visit this below par restaurant due to office commitments, and hated it.

Food. is unremarkable, ugly, and downright unpalatable. Only the fickle minded would walk in here, looking to sample a Chole Bhature (which is apparently their signature dish) when the Sardarji run shops on the outer circle are so close by. This place is from the partition era, a time when the Delhi's native urban elites wanted to be driven to the newly constructed Connaught Place, but were still not comfortable enough to try out global cuisine, for the most part.

Ambiance. The restaurant sadly feels way past its prime. The Ambiance feels mixed, and all over the place. It's quite cramped. There's an internal gazebo right in the dining floor, for some reason. A giant tv blares Hindi news. It partially feels like a historical relic, a meeting place for rich oldies under a heritage roof. On the other hand, it's like one of those places rated very highly on TripAdvisor, due to clueless foreigners stumbling around CP looking for a famous, old place to grab a bite.

Most importantly, it definitely feels like the dining floor has shrunk, probably with half of the property being let out/sold or divided. In any case, they are stubbornly unaware the world has passed them by.

Service is slow to a point. We visited on a weekday afternoon, and the old waiters were utterly confused.

Prices are an extortion considering the lacklustre experience.

Best place to bring : Office...

Bill No. F044101 Table No. - 03 Date - 6/10/18 Billing Time - 20:24 Stw: Gopal Boramahipal

I am giving this 3 rating just for the good food quality, location and interior decoration of the hotel. Otherwise the hotel staff (specially the service experts) are very slow and aren't having customer centric approach . It was a birthday party on 6th Oct and my family and friends were there. So, a cake was bought from outside and asked the service person if it can be kept in an empty dish. He accepted and took the cake but then after 2 follow ups he came back to bring the cake. We had to keep waiting for food , re-order, bills etc till we left the restaurant. The staff just gather at one place and keep doing chit chat. We raise this to the supervisor available at that time but even he didn't give any such response to us except saying - "Ok Sir...Thanks". Then we also reminded the supervisor that our cake is still in the kitchen (which was given to be packed again). Then non of them responded and just brought the same after couple of minutes. No courtesy.

It can't be accepted from a good restaurant like "Embassy" on a prime location like CP. It may be either a training issue or probably a casual (non- customer centric approach) of the staff but this should be resolved by the management. Otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to recommend this...
