Hotel Villa Des Gouverneurs — Hotel in Puducherry

Never recommend this property to stay. Management is rude, they said they don’t care. We stayed in this Hotel for 4 days. We booked 2 rooms. In one room AC was not working we complained about this but they said we can’t do anything. We clean filter ourselves. On 1 July night , it was heavily rain and thunderstorms, in our rooms rain water is flooded in room and bathroom. When we told this he said I don’t care. Just pay and GET OUT. He said this is your problem not my problem. We said this is your hotel so this is your problem. He even didn’t ready to tell his name and designation. We have videos of room and this person’s behaviour. He shouted on us , misbehaved with us. We told him to lodge FIR, he said u just pay and do whatever you want. Finally we lodged FIR, cops came still that person was hide for sometime and then come back in front of police coz we have video any how , police will identify. We went to police station and they send their accountant for settlement. In police station management person said that they don’t have money that’s why they are doing this. But inspector said this kind of complaint is rare, there are rooms available in 500 rs but they want luxury and paying so much amount. He also told him that if they went in court , it will be big problem for you and your management. Police said just pay half hour of the remaining amount of booking. I SUGGEST THE MANAGEMENT NOT TO TAKE ANY BOOKINGS WITHOUT PROPER RENOVATION OF THIS PROPERTY.

We had our recent stay at this place considering the heritage hotel, but that was a bad decision which we ever made. This place is not well maintained, lot of miscommunication during the booking and I clearly mentioned that we are 5 of us and need a extra mattress, they said yes initially and me and my kid ended up sleeping in the floor without a mattress After paying Rs8300 for this poorly maintained rooms. Lots of mosquitoes No extra mattress will be provided. You better sleep in the floor. Refrigerator door handle wasn’t there. No one came to clean the room in the morning. Way to dining hall there is a wooden floor staircases which was broken long back and they just covered it. you have to be very careful here. Better walk to A2B to have good food. Open dining area wasn’t not maintained well. Literally Nothing in the menu, everytime you need to step out for food and snacks. Response from the staffs wasn’t great, they are not ready to accept their miscommunications and mistakes. They are right and you are wrong. Waste of money. Just the location is good. This place will spoil your mood...

Well 5 stars is very less for the experience we are having at Villa Des Gouverneurs. We are a family of 3, my wife, myself & a one year old lab.

To all those pet parents out there we all know the pain of finding a good pet friendly place where we can travel along with our pets.

We were finding a place to spend our wedding anniversary & It was a no brainier that our anniversary had to be spent with our pet.

After hours of googling we found this place & hoped it to be a great experience

On reaching here we were stunned by the ambience of the villa. It has everything what a villa should have along with French touch to it. In terms of connectivity it is strategically placed & almost 1 km away from all the strategic locations of Pondy.

In terms of hospitality, I would rate this as one of the best I have stayed for two reasons:

They gave us a warm surprise on the day of our wedding anniversary They ensured when we are going out we are not worried about Jojo & they themselves took complete care of Jojo so that he doesn’t feel lonely ….Well now who does that ?

Bowled by this experience, we even extended our stay by 1 day
