Sauce N’ Toss - Cricket Themed Italian Pizza Restaurant — Restaurant in Puducherry

I recently visited sauce N’ Toss restaurant with a group of five friends, and unfortunately, the service we experienced was beyond disappointing. The staff seemed completely disinterested in serving us, and no one even bothered to take our order. After waiting for 15 minutes, we finally had to approach the counter to place our order.

To make matters worse, the kitchen staff was incredibly slow and unresponsive. Despite the fact that we waited for 45 minutes, there was no sign of our food. Every time we asked about our order, we were given different excuses by different staff members, with some saying it would be ready in just 10 minutes and others telling us that our food was already on its way.

After waiting for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes, we decided to approach the counter yet again to inquire about the status of our order. At this point, the staff member who had taken our order simply disappeared, leaving us waiting helplessly. When we finally managed to flag down another staff member and ask about our order, he went into the kitchen to check, but never came back to update us.

To make matters worse, while we were waiting, we saw several other customers who had arrived after us receive their food and even pay their bills, while we were still left waiting for our order. We were finally forced to leave the restaurant without receiving any food, and feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated with the unreasonable service we received.

Overall, I would not recommend Snacks and Toss restaurant based on the poor quality of their service. Went in today with my boyfriend because I really wanted to try the Jalapeño Cheese Balls and they were exceptional! Better than any I've ever had back in America and whatever the sauce was that they served went with it perfectly! He had pasta and said it was good too. The staff was really nice, and our food was brought out quite quickly. Our server refilled my water literally not even a minute after I finished it, even though we were done and I didn't really need it, but it was commendable. He should get a raise. The owner (I'm assuming) even asked us how everything was when we were finished, which I honestly have never experienced here in Pondy so that was much appreciated, and of course, it was amazing. That shows that they have confidence in their food, as they should. The ambiance was incredibly welcoming as well, the choice of music definitely adding to that. I liked the colorful, cricket-themed thing they've got going on too and those light fixtures are really something. Props to whoever did the interior designing. So I happened to pass by this place looking for cold coffee and Sauce n Toss was to my rescue..staff is welcoming and soft spoken. Pretty active and quick!

Well about what we had ; Cold Coffee , must! It's delicious and in hot summer the perfect beverage to order. It's awesome!

Aglio Olio, looks a pretty safe dish but many places they mess it up. Here it was good, pretty decent. Salt was upto the mark. (PS, was super hungry hence the image looks like that! )

Pizza, we ordered Captain Cool. They're serving wood-fired pizzas, yes the authentic style. I loved the base, and the toppings were apt. Cheese amount is wow... They're not Kanjus. Hahaha .. Loved the pizza!

Talking ambience, so entire space is themed on Cricket and this is the perfect place to watch it with some appetising food! It isn't pricey at all.
