We stayed here for 2 nights.
Reservation: First Goibibo booking went for a toss. We booked two sea facing room, the Goibibo team called back after 3 days, informing an issue with the inventory of the hotel because of which one room is not available for one night. so they suggested to take a non sea facing room for that night. We were two familiea so at least one family was not impacted. when I called the hotel before booking, the rooms were available. I suspect the hotel denied the booking, cause they directly received another booking, with more room rent than Goibibo.
Rooms : Very small and smelly. even after staying for 2 nights, we could still smell the room after coming entering the room. one room had a refrigerator while other did not. We had to ask to shift the refrigerator bro another room.
Service: Horrible Attitude. How can they afford to be in the business with this attitude. I guess it's acceptable in Tamilnadu or Pondicherry. Can barely speak English, can't even form sentences, they assume the guests can speak tamil. Even after staying there for 1 night the manager tries to explain things in Tamil. I was not sure what was he trying to do. The complimentory water bottles were not kept in the room, when reminded they delivered and ensured that they charged 90 INR, for 20 INR MRPed bottles. After reminding him again during check out, he was not ready to accept. Finally he accepted as if he is doing a favour. If you can't keep track of water bottles, how do you even manage the room service or guest list. At check-in normally the hotel has the expected guests list. It seems this manager did not have it. he had to call someone to confirm. very unprofessional experience.
Food: This hotel does not have a restaurant, they ask someone else to deliver( delivery time 45 mins). The food was excellent in that restaurant.
Location : Please note, it's not a sea facing property. you can to turn right from the balcony to have the sea view. The balcony has mirrors to provide the reflection of the sea view. well thought. There is no parking space so be prepared to park your vehicle unattended. The real sea facing hotel is called Ajantha. Lotus Bay view is the third property behind Ajantha. This hotel is really cramped between three other properties. you will hit the beach in 2 mins walk. A pleasant place to be in the evening, though it gets crowded in the evening.

Lotus Bay View Hotel Pondicherry, this is where I face one my worst experience in my entire lifetime. We were even got insulted by the hotel manager(Sukanthi) itself and by some of their staffs(night shift receptionist boy & security).
Last month me including two families booked 3 rooms their via phone call and they insisted us to pay the complete amount of one day(8000rs) via gpay then itself and we did the same, coz it was ment to be our vacation time with a pleasant stay, great food and an amazing site seeing, but these hotel people really ruined our whole vacation plan and messed it up Completely.
Even after we booked the rooms by paying whole amount they didn't provide us with any sort bills or anything insted they just send a whatsapp message. On reaching there at morning 4am we came to know that it was some other property(lotus comfort) they booked our room. Since it was this early and tired of hours of traveling, we couldn't find anyother hotels, so we thought of adjusting there till 11am. The room was soo dirty that they didn't clean the room once after it was given to previous tenant.
We were not provided with a proper parking facility for our vehicle and what they did was that they simply scartched our car's bumber with a stone or something for asking them about a proper parking space. Even after all these inhuman way of treating us, the receptionist(night shift receptionist boy) and a lady(manager Sukanthi) whom i think their manager insulted us and was shouting at us saying that every 3 start hotels around there functions like this manner and we can leave if we are not satisfied. We asked them to repay our money but they didn't.
They made our vacations days as traumatic as they could. And i really thank them for treat their guests with such ruthless hospitality. I don't think writing this bad experience helps in any manner but this is all we could do.

4 of us travelled by road for 14 hours and were dead tired by the time we reached at 11 in the morning! But yes as per the rules we would be allowed to check-in only at 2 and so we roamed around to come back after By 3:30-3:45 in the afternoon.
We booked two rooms. As soon as we entered the room, One room was totally not livable. I immediately ran down to the reception and asked her to change the room to which she denied clearly. Internet connectivity was poor inside the Hotel so I requested for wifi details in the reception to which she asked me to go to the room and only then she will share!
The struggle started!! I went out of the hotel and sitting on the stairs kept searching for hotels nearby and trying to reach out to Ease my trip.
Not even out of courtesy the receptionist asked me to come inside neither did she share the manager's number even when asked repeatedly. The struggle continued for another 2- 3 hours after which we booked a different room in another hotel and moved there. As one room was fine and 1 person already entered the room, 2 out of 4 stayed back there.
At 8 in the night when the booking company got hold of the manager, she suggested we should have waited till 8 for her to offer us a different accomodation in a different property of theirs!!
