Rathna Square — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

My party had two rooms. One room We were given was different than the one we were shown; we asked for the bathroom to be re-cleaned because it was not very clean; the bedspread was dirty with stainS; the bed sheets did not seem clean; we did not use the pillows because they had stained covers on them and we're not clean; we used our own sleeping sacks. there was no hot water in the morning to shower. We had been told hot water was on between 5 AM and 8 AM and there was no hot water in either of the two rooms we paid. The desk clerk in the morning claimed to not know English, though he appeared to understand what we were saying perfectly well enough. In this way he ignored our complaints about the lack of hot water. The evening desk clerk who checked us in was a very hard-working woman who wanted to do a good job, however she had to oversee three incompetent, lazy young male staff who couldn't figure out which room we were supposed to be in which lead to confusion and she had to help them clean the bathroom correctly. This place is way overpriced, service is very bad, and the rooms are not clean. We paid far less at guest houses during our trip through Airbnb and had far superior cleanliness and experience. Everything will be perfect until check out! Very bad customer experience. The place and stay will good for people touring around Pollachi. The services are very good. The only problem that occurred was during check out. We were asked to pay extra amount for a full day when we stayed only half the day! (Trip was 1.5 days paid for 2 full days) We don't mind paying up but the real problem was when we asked earlier the second day about will they deduct only half a day's amount or a whole day, we were told that only half a day's amount will be deducted . But during check out which was well before 12 hrs of actual check out we were asked to pay for a full day since the policy says so and billing has already been made. We could not argue over a period of time because we ran late for the bus which we have to catch up for. I neither mind the problem being addressed by them nor people checking in with them because the place is good apart from this incident. The only thing I care about is for people to be aware of this and request the management in the hotel to not misdirect any customer in the future....

Worst experience in Pollachi. Booked a non AC room in person for one night priced at ₹1250. Non AC rooms are in 2nd floor. Lift is only from 1st floor. No room service boys. We had to carry our own luggage upto 2nd floor. While booking we had enquired for hot water for shower the receptionist lady said it is available only from 5:00am to 9:00am. We had to start by 7:00am for personal work. Morning till 6:30 no hot water came in the tap. The intercom phone is juz a show piece. We had to call from mobile . Nobody came upstairs to check they were asking to check the valve etc till 7. Then my husband went down to reception called them then one fellow came went to terrace checked something he did this twice even then hot water didn't come. So we got late which became highly uncomfortable for us. I would not recommend this place for stay. The tv was also not working. The tv remote is with the receptionist only the dish remote is in the room Poor service. Pollachi is famous for poor service...
