Sri Gowri Krishna is truly one of the best vegetarian spots — honestly, it’s the second reason we come to Pollachi! The vadais are a total win, and the chutneys are out of this world — bursting with flavor.

The ambience is unmatched, and they have separate sections for pizza and pasta, as well as for traditional Indian snacks. It’s a place that beautifully blends modern and classic tastes.

They also offer a wide variety of snacks — from homemade goodies to local specialties like idli podi, garlic podi, rice-paripu podi, and more. You’ll also find different types of cakes, sweets, and other unique treats. While it is a bit on the expensive side, the quality and range definitely make it worth it.

What truly makes this place shine is the staff. They are sweet, hardworking, and incredibly kind. Special thanks to Muthu Anna and Meenakshi Akka, who served us with such love and warmth — truly heartwarming service.

We stopped are this corner bakery while driving out from CBE to Pollachi, hoping to grab a quick snack, and based on our driver's suggestion. Not sure if the drivers get a commission but this place is a stand and eat joint with NO tables, NO chairs, and a huge gang of beggars around the entrance. Flies are all around, and the idiotic arrangement is to go in through a narrow corridor to the centre of the bakery, pay and collect a bill, and come out again to show the bill to get your coffee and vada to stand on the roadside, juggling the coffee and Vada, accosted by beggars. The toilet upstairs is clean though that you access through the inside corner of the bakery. They have a bigger Restaurant right next to this one which may have been a better...

This is the place where we get sweets and snacks in Pollachi regularly other than mariammal sweets. They have all kinds of sweets and savouries on one side. On the other side, all those of cakes, buns, puffs, and bakery items. Nowadays, they are giving in tetra packs. Outside, there is a juice shop on one side. On the next side, there is a beverage shop with many snack items like vadai, bonda, bajji, sundal, etc. These are of good quality.

It is located on the main road. Cars can be parked near to the bakery.

At the outside, people beg for money, which is an issue.

Otherwise, a good bakery, sweets, and snacks shops...
