The hotel is located just near Charring Cross on commercial road of Ooty.It is a OYO hotel and there are just two floors (connected by stairs). ||||-The rooms are very neat and clean with all amenities that one may need for a travel with family. They have a small geyser that in attached Bath that provides hot water in 10-15 mins which is a plus considering the weather of Ooty (even in March end, the weather would get cold in mornings and evenings and a jacket would be needed )||||- there is a restuarant that serves veg, non-veg and has bar also||- they provide drinking water in jug in every room. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and sufficient lighting, cupboards and power points. In short, all necessary amenities are provided at no fuss.||||- apart from hotel amenities, another good part was the excellent hotel location. It is in middle of market but just a few steps inside so that you have access to all shops nearby but still can stay away from noise. ||-Many popular eateries and utility stores are nearby. Domino's is next door, A2B restaurant is barely few steps away. Then Pankaj bhojanalaya. Plus many bakeries providing chocolates, cookies and tea/coffee/milk are adjacent. Auto stand is just opposite A2B, taxi stand is below Pankaj Bhojanalaya. ||- there are couple of multi purpose stores around and shopping sites also. Apart from eateries, most shops open at 10 am and close down at 8 pm.||||- there is a bit of a parking problem as the commercial road in front of hotel is busy. But since this hotel is couple of steps inside from the main road, there exists a small stretch of road in front as well as back side of hotel, hence taxis/autos can come inside easily.||||- To summarize, a hotel with Great and convenient location and tidy nice rooms at...
Read morei stay 4 days at ooty but the oyo which i choose one the first day made me very disappointing first time . i use oyo for every time but at this oyo it just waste of time . our check in time was 12 but we reach there at the time of 7pm due to traffic but that is not problem .but then also we wait the staff for at least 30 min to come.aftrer that the first room which they provide made us mad on the cold they give us a non working heater and we complaint to hotal and for the response they take more time after the response they take somany time to clean the other room almost we really got a room at the of 9 pm it made us late for fresh up and also made us to travel more for finding an food court .but the 2nd room we had no connection for tv so it also not work ..but they sharply make us check out at 11. but the other 3 days i got an hotel with perfect through other site ..i and family was changed their attitude about oyo due to this... waste of money for a local room ...made my the first day mood off at a relaxation trip also. tnk oyo ..for the customer care executive which don't have at least a responsible to listen what our problem it also makes a clarity about the customer care executive response .it means no one will get a help immediately which shows on the app .. .no more oyo i think it is safe for my money and health they don't at least remember us about the breakfast . and at the time of 10.40 we ask about that .they respond breakfast is over. it also made us the unwanted expensive of 409 at a restaurant so totally it is worst to compare other hotel which provides by good...
Read moreStill a Nightmare!! There is nothing below 1 star here hence giving 1. The worst hotel i ever stayed in my life. I booked this hotel via OYO by trusting their words - hygienic washroom, clean linen promises!!! We reached the hotel by 12:00 in the noon and receptionist was not available at the counter at that time. We were made to wait 15 min. Once he came in, he asked a hotel boy to show the room. The first room which they showed was stinking, but still they insisted us to take the room as it is the biggest room in the hotel. However we agreed and in few minutes we realized the bathroom was dirty and flush was not working. We asked the receptionist for a change of room and he said he cannot change the room, but he will try to fix the flush issue. But finally he agreed to change the room. To be frank, the receptionist was really arrogant and not at all pleasing. When we complained him about the dirty washroom, but he asked us to change the hotel. But i was travelling with my parents and it was already evening and raining. We were not in a condition to vacate the hotel and find another one. Another things is, room heater was given as in the amenity list in OYO website. But seriously, there was none !!!! I complained to OYO and there was no action taken by the team. All this happened because i trusted OYO. Please never book hotel via OYO and please don't choose this hotel in ooty unless you want to spoil...
