Prakash Guest House — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

I booked the Hotel Prakash Guest House Varanasi for two nights in October through booking.com and I got an email from the hotel (no reply email) asking me to add whats app and I did it. The hotel Management asked me to pay a 30% deposit to secure the booking, and I did as they requested. They didn’t accept the card and asked me to transfer the money into their bank account and I did it accordingly. They asked me to send my booking reference and PINs and I felt shocked that why they asking for my PIN. I phoned them and they told me that “you are a foreigner” and not allowed to stay at our hotel. How rude they are. I booked the hotel and I paid the deposit and now they said that I am not allowed to stay. This is a disgusting behaviour I have ever seen. They deleted all the WhatsApp messages. They never responded to the email. Now I know why their booking.com review is always 10 because they ask for the PIN and they can score by themself. Please don’t trust them. They are disgusting and awful. When I complained about it a guy called Rahul phoned me and said that now they got a licence and now foreigners are allowed to stay. How quickly they got the licence from the government. They are lier. A guy called Sameer said that he is the owner of the property and he has 17 other properties. I asked him if he could refund my money back and he said he would but he never returned the money. Finally, I complained to booking.com customer service and they refunded the money. Please don’t book this hotel. They are fake people. They asked me to pay for their parent's company Ojo Trip. This is also rubbish. Don’t book any room through the Ojo trip as well. They are a racist and discriminate...

Very clean and tidy rooms at affordable rates. This guest house is located near Dashashwamedh ghat(the main ghat of Varanasi), only few steps away from the gates of Vishwanath temple. It is owned and managed by a very friendly and humble family, room service is satisfactory as well. Amenities like elevator, inverter, geyser are also present.
