Our recent stay at the Monratino Himadrie Attic Room in Darjeeling was nothing short of magical. Perfect location just 2mins walk to the mall road, this charming accommodation offered us an unforgettable experience.

The attic room itself was cozy, beautifully designed, and exuded warmth and comfort. The wooden interiors and large windows gave it a rustic yet elegant charm, making it the perfect retreat to relax and rejuvenate.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga. Watching the majestic peaks light up at sunrise from the comfort of the attic room was an experience we'll treasure forever. The panoramic views of the mountains and the tranquil surroundings truly made us feel one with nature.

The hospitality we received was beyond exceptional. Michelle, the main host, was incredibly kind and guided us every step of the way, ensuring our stay was seamless and memorable. Sanam ji’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel at home, while Pravat expertly arranged all our sightseeing tours, travel transportation, and the pick-up and drop-off from NJP. Their collective efforts made our trip effortless and thoroughly enjoyable.

One thing to note is that the attic room is on the 5th floor, and there is no elevator. While my wife and I didn’t find this a challenge, it’s something to consider if you have knee issues or difficulty climbing stairs. Thankfully, there are other rooms available on lower floors if needed.

Despite this minor factor, everything else about our stay was perfect. From delicious home-cooked meals to the serene ambiance and stunning mountain views along with warm hospitality, Monratino Himadrie Attic Room offers a truly unique and memorable experience. We wholeheartedly recommend it for a peaceful retreat in Darjeeling! It’s not just a stay—it’s an experience you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

I was in Montarino Homestay for 2 days. Their homestay is within school premises so you can understand how greedy this people are. Their service is pathetic as they have one person named Sanam who is doing all the stuff. Their geyser didn't work,their toilet seat was broken. Their food is pathetic. Sanam who is a staff is a complete fraud. We asked him if he could arrange cab for us. He said yes. Our cab was supposed to come at 11:30 AM as were returning from Darjeeling to Siliguri but the cab driver didnt come. Fraud homestay staff Sanam forced us to pay cab fare before even boarding the cab. Then we followed up with him continuously and a different cab driver came at 1:30 PM. When we called Homestay Over Passi Mam, she said she cannot do anything as we didnt ask her before talking to Sanam Sanam was the only person with whom we interacted in the homestay,he carried our luggage,he served us tea,he served us dinner. So that's why we believed him. Also we booked 2 rooms for Rs 14000 total for 2 days. We paid 10000 in advance. When we reached the homestay that day only Sanam forced us to pay the remaining amount of 4000 which we paid on the next day. Also while checking out the money for the food,I paid to Sanam's UPI whereas this is a homestay and they should have their homestay UPI. So Passi and Sanam are doing this to avoid tax. Requesting everyone to avoid Montarino as it is very difficult to find their Homestay. Darjeeling has lot of other good hotels...

The staff and hosts were extremely hospitable and attentive to every need. They were always available with a smile, offering local tips and ensuring I had a comfortable stay. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the experience even more enjoyable.

The views from the property were lovely—especially during sunrise and sunset—and the quiet surroundings made it ideal for some much-needed rest and rejuvenation.
