Little home stay off the Main Street in Sanur opposite Peneeda hotel which you can walk through to the beach. |Look for the price it is excellent. $48 a night. It is down a lane way sort of tucked out of sight. I was a bit unsure of what it would be like. |Anyway here goes. There are a few rooms in one area and where we were there was 2 two rooms plus 3 x 2/3 bedroom rooms. The rooms are like old Bali. Lovely little verandah with table and chairs. Each room is set in greenery and quite private. At first I thought but I can’t see anyone and chat but then I really enjoyed it. The room has the Bali doors with a big padlock on it. You step into the room so if you have a disability this would not be good . The rooms are like is quite big . The linen and towels a bit sad and threadbare. Has a great size fridge, wardrobe, bathroom must have been renovated as it was lovely and big with great got water. Great air con. . The pool was small but ok the only problem …it was lovely in the morning but the afternoon it was like a warm tub. Nice if you like that but not refreshing at all. Had 6 sun Beds but it was never busy. Breakfast was ok and basic so we went out every day. Paradise Bali a few door down is awesome for food. Or go the other way for a wander and see what you like. The staff were lovely and rooms were cleaned daily. For a budget home stay it would be perfect as the location is excellent. Short walk to the Maya for rooftop cocktails and to Artesadana (old Hardy’s) for shopping. Laundry just out on the street. All in all...
Read moreSince Covid i visited 24 countries, a few of them twice like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and India. I stayed at Jati a few nights in January and February 2023. This time I had the worst room I stayed at in many years! On arrival I was informed that only twin beds were available. They turned out to be the smallest ones I have seen in my life, I am a former travel agent and sometimes show customers around the world as a tourguide, so i know how twin beds look like and what size they usually are. I stayed 3 times in Sanur this month in other twin rooms, almost all double the size of Jati. It resembled a sunbed or massage bed. The power socket was so deep, that i couldn t charge my cp, because my international adapter didn t reach the power. The towel in the bathroom was like sandpaper, as an experienced traveller i always bring a spare one. At nighttime debris was falling from the ceiling, so on my way to the toilet I always stepped on little concrete. In the morning I let the shower run for 15 minutes, then gave up and had a cold shower. The night was terrible, i am 188cm (6.2) and the bed was just big enough for me, my arms hanging out on both sides. Absolutely disgusting and noboday is responsible. I complained twice at the reception, then got the whats app number of the so called manager-no reply. Send an e mail to Jati, got a sorry but message back after a week. It was my most expensive night there and I WILL...
Read moreI had such a pleasant stay in this home stay. Room was so cosy and I could feel the peace surrounding me thanks to the beautiful garden, statues, fountains. It was like a fairytale. There is also a beautiful swimming pool with comfortable lounge chairs. I slept so good, no street noise, only the gentle flow of the water in the fountain outside my window. The room is equipped also with kettle, cups, welcome water bottles, toiletries, even toothbrush and toothpaste. Hot water was working fine and also the air conditioning. Breakfast was simple but good with a good choice from the menu offering both sweet and salty options. Their restaurant is open also to walk-in guests and offers lunch and dinner service. The location is perfect. Just cross the street, walk a few meters and you will be at the beach. On the beach there are bike and pedestrian lanes. Outside the hotel there are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, money exchange, push bicycle and motorcycle rentals, massage centers. The staff is kind and hard working. My flight was supposed to arrive at 00:30, and the owner accepted without any issue to do a late check in. Unfortunately there was a delay with the flight and I arrived at 2:30am. Despite the late time I was able to do the check in. I hope to come back to Sanur and for sure this accomodation would be my...
