Gili garden Bungalow — Hotel in Gili Meno

The bungalow is located on the west coast of Gili Meno island, quite far if reached from the harbor (which is on the east coast), but just a minute away from beautiful sunset. To go there from the harbor, you can rent a "cidomo" traditional transportation, the only transport in the island besides bicycle (price: 40,000rupiahs per person, 100,000 rupiahs for 3 persons for about ten minutes ride). We decided to walk from the harbor to the bungalow and it took us around 30 minutes through the center of the island and passed a beautiful lake!||||The owner, the staffs and the shop owner beside the bungalow are very friendly and helpful. They gave us free juice as we arrived tiredly after walking :D We stayed in an A/C room: the room and bathroom are spacious, clean and neat. We love the location since it is not among loud pubs and bars. It feels peaceful with all the plants and garden. The owner helped us to get bike rent and also allowed us to hang our laundry (in the evening they even put them back on our porch. how nice!).||||Breakfast is yummy. Simple toast and eggs with various fruits. The owner is a nice man to talk with. If you are looking for a lovely stay, this is one of the best...

I stayed here for 5 nights - it should have been 6 but I had travel problems which they were very understanding about and didn't charge me for my missed night.||Breakfasts very good, but be warned it takes a while. Allow yourself at least 30 - 45 minutes. How it's very good for the price you're paying! ||Owners are very friendly but can be hard to find at times if you need something. You just need to be flexible and try again later in the day if they are not about. ||Room was basic but everything you need. I changed rooms after one night as there were some for the same price which were slightly more modern. The bathroom was generally clean but could do with a bit more of a dust down. ||They don't clean your room the whole time, which is unusual for a stay that long. Even the bin outside my room didn't get emptied which was overflowing. ||Location is great - very short walk to the beach.||Would I stay again? Most likely. For the price and what you get it is...

We stayed at Gili Garden bungalows for 2 nights whilst we stayed at gili Meno. It was clean and very basic - With towels, a clean sheet for bed linen (didn’t need more in such warm weather), the air conditioner worked really well. There was no room cleaning but for the price it was fine. The shower only had cold water but I think that’s how it is on many places living on Meno. It wasn’t freezing water so it was actually pleasant to shower in. We highly recommend this accommodation for those on a budget! It had all we needed. Breakfast was also good (fairly large portion). The family there is also very kind. We used their laundry service too which was fine. Paid 25000 for 1 kg. Downside: we rented their bikes however 10 minutes into our bike ride one of the bike pedals fell off so we took them back and got our money back. ||Overall a great stay!
