We stayed at one of the bungalows for 4 nights, and the condition of the accommodation is the main reason for giving this a low star rating.
CONS No fridge. Air con very weak. No bin inside room at all. Only bin for us was outside, on the ground off our porch, which was already nearly full of rubbish. I asked for another bin and one was delivered and left beside the full one. It was dirty so I cleaned it myself for use inside our room. Taps green and coroded. No racks to dry things. Lots of cobwebs. Grit all over floor, like it had not been swept. Shower grate full of hair. Tried to remove it, it was set hard! No screens on bathroom windows so insects swarm in. Cold salt water shower. Although I think many places on Meno have this. Very dirty floors and walls, window sills etc. there was shredded tissue or toilet paper on the window ledge. Ants on floor. Lots of spiders. The basin had not been cleaned in a long time... It had a lot of dried and caked on toothpaste of peoples past. I cleaned it myself. No lights along pathway to bungalow... - There are trip hazards.
PROS Great location. Very close to Beach. Staff really friendly. Non slip floor in bathroom. No smell of mildew.
RESTAURANT The part of the beach restaurant that is on the beach is lovely. The tables could have done with a bit more of a clean but they were comfortable and looked white and fresh and beachy. The part that was undercover did not look comfortable and the tables and chairs looked old and splintery.
We ate the fresh snapper bbq'd over the coals and it was very nice. Most evening we had ice cream and drinks.
The location is excellent, great view.
The staff we met were very nice. Addi in particular was very friendly and sweet and always remembered I liked honey in my tea. Another, Guns, when we were first arrived was also very attentive and friendly. There was a lady, also very nice. The owner/manager was kind and let us borrow some snorkeling gear at no charge, and also to help us when there was trouble with our taxi boat not turning up.
I feel the restaurant is the main focus of this business and that the accommodation is an...
Read moreA very comfortable place. With delicious BBQ dishes with special spices. I am very sad to see the reviews above. Actually, the food is good, maybe they have a seafood allergy but insisted on ordering it, even though besides seafood there are many other menu options that are equally delicious, especially Mexican food and local Indonesian food. Good service, with friendly and smiling staff. And for drinks, it is very enjoyable, especially the cocktails at very affordable prices; we just need to buy 2 glasses and get 3. I recommend this beautiful place to indulge your eyes with the sunset and...
Read moreThere is a number of things going for this place. Fresh seafood, cooked beautifully. And they weigh it all for you, so you can see you're getting priced fairly. They aren't pushy, trying to upsell you. Beautiful beach front space, not crowded. And I think the best pina colada in all of lombok/bali/gili islands.
Good price. I 100% recommend. I will definitely...
