Gili Villas Indonesia — Hotel in Gili Trawangan

It’s with a lot of bitterness that I write this review. Warning!!! Pool Chlorine concentration was above regulation 4 (orange) ideal concentration is 1. PH was way below regulation 4, ideal concentration is 7.6. Straight after checking in we jumped in the pool and saw little stone in the pool, We thought it was some design as they were too many but After swimming in the pool, my face skin started to be irritated, and my hair got really bad instantly, sticky, dry impossible to brush. As my 2 sisters and my mum finished showering they realised the same issue, got really stressed. They couldn’t even pass their hand in their hair and started crying. I immediately called Rahma the property concierge, I explained to her the situation and asked her to send the pool concierge, as at this stage it was obvious, the chlorine and the PH were completely out of control. When The concierge pool saw the chlorine, he was completely shocked by the amount of chlore (little white stone) and immediately told us that it was unnecessary to test the pool as there are way too many chlore. I still asked him to test the pool. The results were extremely out of regulations, see photos. We went to a hairdresser and he mentioned that the chlorine has sucked all the natural oil of our skin and hair, he told us to avoid pool and sea for few months and appropriate skin and hair care need to be done. Despite these challenges, I understand that unforeseen situations can arise. I have contacted the landlord for possible compensation or assistance to remedy the situation, but at this stage I haven't heard from her. I would find only fair if my family and I could get compensate with a proper appointment to a hairdresser and skincare. I am not here to take anyone money just try to find a fair and honest agreement. Very nice place to stay in gili T ..if u want privacy this place is for u.. private heated pool,cozy beds,big kitchen with all amenities,big dinning area,big seating area with home theater system, during night very beautiful lighting, breakfast is good, daily housekeeping,24hr security with CCTV camera..on very low budget they provide u so many things..staff is so friendly..loved this place..😍👍 gili...

Fantastic private space, with a large private pool and living area. Conveniently located near the dock- an easy walking distance even with suitcases, and bars/restaurants. However, was quiet and very relaxing. Close to mosque so expect call to prayer very early- this did not impact our stay here. Staff were friendly. Only downside breakfast was provided by their partner hotel- which meant a short walk...
