Ko Ko Mo Resort — Hotel in Gili Trawangan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Incredible – My 50th Birthday in Paradise!!!

I chose Ko Ko Mo Resort in Gili Trawangan, Pemenang, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it was truly one of the BEST decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The sea view was absolutely stunning, and the beachfront scenery created the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion.

The entire resort was beautifully decorated, and the night illuminations around the property added a dreamy, romantic glow that made every moment feel even more special. The ambiance was pure paradise.

The staff went above and beyond in every single detail. Their coordination leading up to my celebration was flawless. When I walked into the space decorated with natural, fresh flowers, I felt genuinely celebrated and cared for. The food was delicious—every dish was beautifully prepared—and the chocolate desserts were out of this world!

During my birthday, they surprised me with a heartfelt “Happy Birthday” song, and the thoughtfulness of the staff made me feel incredibly special. I can honestly say I had one of the best birthdays of my life here. Everything was perfect: the service, the ambiance, the spectacular views, the quality, and the attention to detail.

My husband and I felt like we were living in a dream. There are just no words to express how wonderful and unforgettable this experience was. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, relax, or simply enjoy beauty and luxury—I highly, highly recommend Ko Ko Mo Resort.

The Three Bedroom Villa and the giant pool made for a perfect 3 day stay to attend a wedding.

The private garden and pool made it perfect for the after party with all the wedding guests. To be honest, it was nice to not have staff giving us any attitude about the party, and helping us with drink orders and arranging pizza delivery!

The water fountain was a great asset to have in the kitchen.

The bedrooms were a little dated with windows that dropped rust every time I tried to open and close. I reported not being able to lock the windows but it was never fixed. There was only 1 bed and 1 wardrobe in the bedrooms, there was a lack of furniture had to keep everything on the floor!

The Safety Deposit Box was not attached to anything and small enough to pop into a bag and walk off with it!

Location was perfect. Quiet enough at the end of the East Strip, but easy enough to walk to action. Also walkable from the Ferry port.

The staff were pretty nice. I didn't know there was even a reception room until check out, so I guess its good that your restaurant staff were very helpful.

The Bills and check out were a nightmare despite constantly checking with staff that we wanted our villa charges split to individuals.

I think the property is super quirky and the different style of villas offer something for everyone, I would certainly consider...

From the moment we arrived the staff at Kokomo made us feel at home! The resort is set on the edge of the main restaurant/bar strip, so is quieter but also very accessible. To the south/east of the resort (less than 5 min bike ride) is the sunset area where you can relax in bean bag chairs and sit cocktails while watching the most beautiful sunsets (go early to get a seat). My husband and I were upgraded from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom villa, giving us more living space and a bigger plunge pool. The accomodation itself is fantastic - thoughtfully designed to include everything you need. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the villa between the pool, sun lounger and (when it got too hot) our wonderfully cool bedroom. An excellent breakfast is included and the staff in the restaurant are incredibly sweet and helpful with any changes you need! We also had lunch a couple of times in the villa and enjoyed those meals too. The wonderful Nung (concierge/receptionist) was a highlight of the stay, organising a private snorkeling tour of the three Gili islands for us with some great locals, helping us to hire bikes and snorkels and even booking in and escorting us to an incredible massage at a local spa.
