Unforgettable Nights at Manhattan Hotel Jakarta.

I stayed for five nights at Manhattan Hotel Jakarta, and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. As someone who frequently travels to Jakarta for business, I always choose Manhattan Hotel for my accommodation. In fact, I usually stay at this hotel two to three times a month. This recent visit marked yet another great experience, and I feel it’s time to leave a review for the management.

First of all, the location is unbeatable. The hotel is easily accessible via public transportation and is close to major malls like Kuningan City, Lotte Shopping Avenue, Grand Indonesia, and Kota Kasablanka. It’s also conveniently near Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, and various bus and train stations. I arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport, took the airport train to BNI City Station, and then a short taxi ride to the hotel.

Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink and a hot towel. Check-in was quick at the Guest Relations desk. I was given a room on the 16th floor with a stunning view of the city. The air conditioning was already perfectly set when I entered, and I was greeted with complimentary fresh fruits and cookies on the desk.

The room itself was spacious, featuring a comfortable king sized bed and a luxurious bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi, just what I needed after a long day of work. The smart TV allowed me to enjoy YouTube and Netflix during my downtime. Most importantly, the WiFi in the room was fast enough and stable, which made it easy for me to work and stay connected throughout my stay.

Breakfast was served on the 3rd floor, and it was nothing short of impressive. A wide variety of dishes, including Indonesian and Indian cuisine, was available, and the brisket was especially delicious.

Every staff member I encountered was friendly and attentive, and sure special mention goes to Ms. Anita, who ensured my room was always in top condition. Her responsiveness and attention to detail were remarkable. I believe she holds a key position in the housekeeping management, and her dedication truly stood out. She personally checked in daily to make sure all my requests were fulfilled and even facilitated my request to have the room disinfected. Something I really appreciated.

Now, to wrap it up, staying at Manhattan Hotel Jakarta has always been genuinely pleasant and memorable. I consistently feel well taken care of, from the thoughtful details in the room that make it feel like home, to the courteous and attentive service throughout the hotel. These little touches, combined with a high level of professionalism, reflect the strong commitment of the management and staff to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

As a sincere suggestion to the management: please continue to uphold the excellent standard of hospitality, and don’t forget to give extra appreciation to the amazing housekeeping team. Their hard work makes a big difference in how comfortable and cared for guests feel yet often go unacknowledged in many hotels. This hotel is booked by our counter part who are from Jakarta . Base on the guest’s many good reviews, she booked this hotel for us and also due to our meeting venue is nearby which is located at the kuningan city mall . We are very disappointed with this hotel and we booked 5 rooms and all five rooms have issues such as toilet clogging issues , air con is not working (too hot) , air con too cold , no water supply at night for hours . We made so many complaints about the air con (too hot) , nothing works even technician came to fix it and they keep telling us the air con is alight . If you don’t believe me , try staying in room 2302 . And they don’t have rooms to change for us as it was fully booked that weekends . We requested for a table or standing fan and they don’t have any . The bed and pillows are comfortable but the sheets are not clean .Curtains are dirty and the furnitures are old and mostly damaged . Kettle was dirty even though we had washed it many times . So we requested for a glass of hot water and they only sent it after an hour . Check in/out process is good . They have 36 floors but only have 3 lifts . So especially morning and checking out time , we have to wait for at least 15 -20 minutes mins to get to the cafe for breakfast and get back to the room . We’ve ordered some food to be sent to the hotel while we are outside , to our surprise , the driver called to inform us that the item was dropped off at the security room as the hotel reception don’t accept anything and will not keep it for the guests . We were unhappy as our food were placed at the rack at the back door of the security check point . And this hotel is ranked 5 stars .. we can’t believe that . The breakfast is good and they served many cuisine and plenty of food to choose from . And let’s talk about the massage centre . I booked a 60 minutes aromatic massage service and after about 10 mins I told my messuer that let’s do 90 minutes in total . Came to my surprise , they changed me 2 different bills which is 60 minutes $600,000 and 30 minutes $350,000. But the price list for 90 minutes is only $800,000. I questioned the receptionist and she said is 2 different bookings and cannot be billed in one bill . So ended up I paid $950,000 for 90 minutes . The messuer was good and friendly and I had a great relaxing time . The next day , my friend had a room massage service too and he booked the 60 minutes service . He told me he had 10% discount and which no one offer me that . I was really angry with that . I’m too disappointed with this hotel and I don’t even want to recommend to anyone . Just that the location is super convenient but super jam too , other than that Nothing great . Do not expect 4-5 stars quality which they claimed to be ,to me is only 2 stars rating and the interior is old...
