I stayed at the Westin for one night while on transit through Jakarta. I think either this or the Park Hyatt is the tallest hotel in Jakarta, not sure. But it's defnitely a skyscraper hotel with great views. ||||I arrived by car and was escorted to the room for check-in. A good first impression. I wasn't upgraded but my room at the 55th floor which was a corner room was very spacious, with wrap around views from the floor to ceiling windows, even extending to the bathroom. The views are particularly lovely at night. ||||The room is very beautifully decorated and furnished and I would say much better than the usual Westin. it's keep immaculately clean and well maintained as well. The bed is the hotel's signature Westin Heavenly bed and it's one of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in. Checking the internet, apparently this is the new and improved bed. The sheets were also soft and comfy. It's frankly difficult to get out of the bed in the morning. ||||Breakfast at the Seasons hotel in the morning was good and happy hour at the Club lounge have decent food and drinks variety. The gym was well equipped as well. I did not have time to try the spa but I think there's a jacuzzi inside. Service was polite and attentive, as expected of any 5 star luxury hotel in Jakarta. ||||Not everything was perfect though. Soon after I checked in, I started to notice a humping sound from the aircon which was quite loud. The technician sent to inspect the aircon could not fix it and he suggested he would ask his supervisor for a room change. However, since it's just one night, I tried to get use to it instead and did not insist on a room change as it means packing and repacking my stuff. ||||The worst part of the hotel is also something it cannot do anything about, the location. The traffic jam at the main room when exiting the hotel is terrible. Located at the busy section of Rasuna Said, this particular road is the main artillery road leading to the toll and it was absolutely choker-block during peak hour in the morning and evening and have heavy traffic throughout most of the day. Just leaving the hotel and tryng to got out of traffic to go anywhere took 30 mins. It's crazy, even by Jakarta standard. For those who choose to stay here, you need to factor this in your traveling time. ||||Overall, I enjoyed my stay and wouldn't mind to return but probably over a weekend where traffic is...

Read moreStayed here in August for my daughter's birthday. I was staying in Premium King room with club lounge access. Here is my pros and cons from my stay in Westin Jakarta: Pros: Check in process was quick and straightforward with helpful front officer. Room was superb. Spacious with breathtaking view. Bathroom also unbelieveably spacious with walk-in closet. Nothing can be complained about from the room. One of the best in Jakarta and I think the best view in town. Club lounge access is a must if you want to stay here. Although during this pandemic time all the services are in ala carte but you can order as much as you like. Good hygiene procedure. The most stand out are the staffs. All are very welcoming, nice and helpful. Shoutout to the staff! 👍 F & B served in club lounge was superb. Very delicious. From the afternoon tea to evening cocktail, all are superb. Location is right in the heart of business district. Can't get any better than this especially for business traveler. parking space are spacious if you bring your own vehicle. I had my breakfast in Seasonal Taste, food variety is pretty good although I believe the variety should've been much more in normal situation but still very satisfying. The quality also reflect the 5-star hotel. The staffs are the star of the service. A real 5-star service. Keep up the good work!
Cons: actually almost nothing I can find to complain except for 1 that the heavenly bed is too soft for me. I prefer a more firm bed to properly support the back during sleep, so I was woke up feel a bit tired and uncomfortable on my back. Probably should consider to have a more firm bedding. wish I don't need for the room to be cleaned up for more than half an hour durinf check in, but this is minor.
Overall my stay was very satisfying, as what I'm expected from Westin and Marriott. I will definitely come back here. Staying in the tallest building in nation is an experience worth to try. Unfortunately because of pandemic the swimming pool and gym were closed so didn't got a chance to try it but I believe it should be perfect too.
See you...
