Do Not Stay at this Hotel!!! It is so run down and neglected it’s not even worth the cheap nightly price. EVERYTHING is either damaged or faulty. The beds are as soft as a granite floor. The pull out bed/couch in the lounge is so broken that even the cleaner had difficulty putting it back together. Anything fabric has stains on it and the quality of bedding is atrocious.| I noticed some previous guests have mentioned the state of the aircon units, they are 100% correct on all counts. Decrepit, rusted to its core, and leaks. Not only that but they are situated about 2feet away directly outside in line with where you lay your head, and they are overbearingly loud. 100% health risk in the state they are in. ||So they say you can use the amenities. Ok well the pool is not at the Club Bali site, it’s down a driveway and through reception of Jayakarta Hotel. Also where the restaurant and food is prepared. Which Club Bali patrons must pay for on the day and trust me they will. I had a different charge almost every day for my 6yo and I to eat breakfast. Menu did not alter during our stay. |So if you want to have a swim, make sure you bring a towel provided by Club Bali as The Jayakarta WILL NOT provide you with a towel to use as with the other guests, citing “different management”. Plus the towels Club Bali provide are worn and old white with blue stripes whereas the Jayakarta provides good quality green and blue towels so definitely one way of making a club Bali guest stand out and feel second class. No matter how polite the towel guys were asked they would not lend a towel to dry off. ||But wait there’s more! We had organised transfers to the hotel upon arrival and after the lengthy wait to get thru customs to walk up and down past all the drivers with signs our name was not to be found. For context it was late afternoon. Upon calling the hotel and having a family member that was already at the hotel question the whereabouts, if at all of our driver it quickly became apparent that there was no driver and I would have to find transport to the hotel myself. Mind you I am travelling with my 6yo daughter and it’s her first overseas trip anywhere. We were both stressed out and I was furious with Club Bali as I made sure I had airport transfers. Same when leaving, early morning departure and no one at reception, no driver, nothing! I had to race up to the Jayakarta reception and book a taxi as dragging my daughter and our baggage out to the street was not what I had in mind. Taxi eventually arrived, but the driver took us on a longer route obviously to get more $. I’ve been to Bali 14 times now, I’m 51, and I will NEVER return as not only is the hotel run down, so is Bali itself. Also IT IS NOT AS CHEAP AS IT USED TO BE!! They sting you for everything. The shop items are the worst I’ve ever seen and the harassment to buy by shop vendors is far from pleasant. The food is sub par. You will struggle to find food that a child under 10 enjoys that’s reasonably healthy. I even bought McDonalds for my daughter and my cousins kids and they all said it was yucky. |I’m not finished! My daughter got a small zap when plugging in my iPad, the cords were already in the socket, she was just putting the cord into the iPad and it shocked her. |The hotel backs onto a rubbish tip where they simply dump all the offerings that are collected at the end of each day. |Reception was hit and miss, sometimes there was someone there, sometimes not! I asked for some information on our flights which they said they’d find out for us and they obviously forgot. Don’t book a taxi/driver thru reception as they will rip you off with a smile on their face. For example, a trip to Bali Zoo and back, 7000000Rp. As it was my first day and my daughter really wanted to go I just accepted it not thinking and realised during the trip of how much that actually was. They will try to get you to stop at Silver factories and coffee plantations along the way as they obviously get commission. So basically we are just walking wallets and there is no going above and beyond, it’s the bare minimum for maximum dollar. So I warn anybody contemplating staying at this hotel or actually anyone going to Bali, don’t do it, go somewhere where it’s not a filthy disease ridden and safety and risk factor issue. Save your hard earned cash and spend it on something worthwhile as you will feel ripped off and with not much to show from it if you go to Bali or stay at this hotel. Extremely disappointed and regret both the hotel and destination....
Read moreChances are you’ve looked at club Bali family suites because they’re description says it’s great for families, that they have pools and kids club and the beach and playgrounds and beautiful gardens? Well, if that’s what you’re expecting DO NOT book here. Because all of those facilities are part of a different motel which club Bali guests have access too. It’s all a very deceiving marketing ploy and it sucks! This isn’t our first rodeo in Bali; we’ve come to know what to expect and love from a motel and the staff and this disappoints in every regard||||||Every motel we’ve stayed at in Bali we have been greeted wit such enthusiasm, cold drinks and cold towels. Not here. No, not at all. We were treated almost as if we were an inconvenience. Now we travelled as a family group of 4 adults and 2 kids (including an infant) and were really looking forward to the Bali hospitality. At check in we asked about changing one room to be a 2 bedroom which they were most unhappy about and quoted us a price that exceed the price advertised right there in reception! We didn’t move rooms despite showing them they were overcharging us. They actually told us we were wrong and can’t understand the price.||||So we eventually head up to the room in the oldest lift I’ve ever been in. It stunk like dense old air. Not a good start||||The room. The room was as pictured; lounge/dining area, a small hall with a bathroom off to the side and the bedroom at the end. Exactly as we expected. What we didn’t expect however was the smell. Mildew, old, dirty air con smell. In both rooms. Coincidentally, both air cons broke on the first night. With both our kids crying in the now 38 degree room, wanting to go to bed for the night after a big day of travel we awaited the hotel to advise what we should do. 4 phone calls to reception and 2 visits to reception later we finally had a maintenance man in one room to repair the aircon. He used our table as a ladder (which was not cleaned afterwards) and came and went 3 times and eventually (to the tunes of our exhausted kids crying close to the middle of the night) or air con was fixed. Room 2 got fixed the next day (it needed re-gassing). The whole place is so dated. ||||The showers are shower over bath. Not amazing deep plunge baths like you might expect from many of the photos.||||||Now let’s get to outside. You’re expecting pools and restaurant and playground and stunning gardens right? Well you get them but You must first leave your motel and walk up a long driveway and enter an entirely different resort. Club Bali has their accomodation buildings and that’s all. They actually have NONE of their own extra amenities. It’s so dull and lifeless. Minimal gardens at club Bali. All the beautiful stuff you’re seeing in the photos is from the other resort. ||||||Wifi. Wifi is the only thing I can comment on positively. It works fast and well. You have to reconnect often (if you lock your phone or don’t use it for a bit it cuts off) but that’s ok. It’s otherwise good internet.||||The manager, if you’re unlucky enough to even meet him is unhelpful and unkind. Slightly arrogant and NEVER available. Told us on multiple occasions that the hotel does have all those facilities because we can access them. We can access the convenience store accross from the hotel; does not mean the hotel has it. They need to change their wording to say “guest of club Bali can access all the facilities of jayakarta resort because we have none of our own to offer” ||||Anyways, be warned. Read the reviews and more importantly read the reply from the manager on the negative comments. Consider what you want from a resort as there are a million other resorts that actually have their own facilities and will offer the traditional Bali hospitality which is what makes...
Read moreI booked accommodation here through AGODA and paid for 2 rooms for 4 nights with confidence in AGODA, which I have been a customer for many years. On the day of arriving at Club Bali Family Suites in the evening, the staff refused to check in. Made my group wait for more than 20 minutes, told them to wait for the manager to come. When the manager arrived he informed that the room was full. Unable to allow my group to stay. Will move to another hotel, another place for 1 night, then come back and stay again. There has been a debate. and the hotel is not responsible Instead, he offered to sleep in the same room and would add an extra bed. In another building where the picture didn't look like the advertisement from AGODA, I wasted more than 1 hour. I had to find a place to stay myself and went to look at the accommodation. Club Bali claimed that it was AGODA's fault and would compensate everything back. I wasted more than 2 hours. Hours of searching for a place to stay, we had to wait for the Club Bali Family staff to agree on expenses with my new accommodation, while TheKampi Hotel, which welcomed me. Very helpful with everything. Until we see much difference in management of the two hotels clearly Club Bali confirmed with me and kampi hotel staff that they will be responsible for the cost and refund the difference. But when I moved hotels, Club Bali paid and cleared the money with the hotel every morning solate and we had to call for them to pay that was terrible.on the last day my group hadto wait and we almost went to Airport a bit late. And we have not the compensate of different cost of advance paid.
I am clearly disappointed with Club balli family suites along with AGoda. Both the advertising pictures, cleanliness, and care were the worst that I had ever...
