Yanti is relatively close by to where we were staying yet had never gone there. We were impressed by the very friendly service from the street so decided to give it a try.
Again the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was upbeat. Streamed music was playing, which was indeed to our liking, while the live three man band set up. The band was excellent with lovely clear acoustics.
We ordered the chicken satays for my wife and a sweet and sour for myself.
The satays were flavoursome and many (10 sticks). My wife who has a part Asian background loved this meal although if she was to have it again would ask for fried rice and not boiled rice with the satays.
My sweet and sour was very nice indeed bursting with flavour with both strong sweetness and sourness. The white rice was the perfect foil to offset this.
As I said service was very efficient and friendly as in most Balineses restaurants and as our meals were classified as “street food” we received a 10% discount; win win.
If I was to nit pick and find one small negative (for us, not everyone) we would say the streamed music was just a little too loud. It made conversation a little difficult. Perhaps we should have texted.
Overall an excellent meal with lovely ambiance and friendly...

When it finally arrived, the steak was cold and chewy, and the mash was freezing. I asked for it to be redone, but the same plate was returned to me, still at the same temperature.
The staff didn’t seem particularly understanding or apologetic—it honestly felt like we weren’t welcome. As travellers wanting to end our trip with a nice meal, it was really disheartening. I don’t usually leave reviews, and I’m hoping this was just a one-off bad night, but I do think the kitchen and service team could take this as a chance to reflect...
Read moreWe had 2 cocktails in the happy hours deal and both were very nice but the food was even better. I had the seafood Laksa and was very Impressed. Neither the coconut nor the spice were overpowering but one could feel their presence. The seafood was abundant. My wife had the seafood capcay and was also impressed by the plate in front ofher (she is a hard to please). Not only the seafood was plentiful but the amount of fresh and nicely cooked vegetables was remarkable. I only wish I could give them more than 5 stars! I will definitely come back and recommend this...
