Jaen Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Kuta

So I didn't stay at hotel but walked by and though hey this place looks nice and good for some breakfast...... so I stopped in was pretty much ignored and the place wasn't busy. Went to bar to get menu and when I ordered I was asked if I was staying thier. I politely said no and was not told the price and order I wanted was not what I was gonna get. It was suppose to be 80k for indonesian coffee toast and the jaen egg combo. What I got was about 20mim for my coffee almost 40 minutes for breakfast which only angered me because as people came came down while I was waiting they were greeted server and given what they expected while I waited around like a lost puppy for food. I will say the food was good when it finally arrived can't say anything about the toast because that never came, but I think if your staying at the hotel this is a good spot but if ur just wandering it and u find this place just move on. I never have written a review before today, so that should tell u how motivated I am to take the time...

Disappointing Second Visit I was really hoping for a great pizza on my second visit to Foya, but unfortunately, I left both hungry and disappointed. The restaurant itself looks lovely and the staff were polite, but after our food was served, we didn’t see them again—no check-in, no offer for more drinks, just disappeared into the back for a chat.

As for the pizza, it was a letdown. The toppings were paper-thin and lacked any real flavor. The base and toppings together were about as thin as a credit card (see photo), and the whole thing was greasy and overcooked to the point of being rock hard. In all honesty, it didn’t resemble what most would consider a proper pizza. After complaining we paid the bill with a huge 15% discount.

Very disappointed. Muesli was way too sweet, juice was not fresh, service was poor. No place setting - food arrived before the cutlery - had to wait 3 minutes before getting the cutlery. Pancakes served very small with strawberry jam splashed on top and little cut strawberries around it - served with fork and spoon. Had to ask for a knife. Such a sad breakfast for the price we paid! Could’ve gone to The Brunch Club for the price we paid and had a more fulfilling breakfast! The food quality, quantity and presentation...
