Jesen's Inn 1 ( KOST ) — Hotel in Kuta

I stayed at Jesen's for 2 nights. Hotel is very centrally located and a 5 minute walk to the beach and to the main bars in Kuta. Also loads of restaruants less than 5 minutes walk. ||||Don't expect luxury, or anything close to it!! The shower wasn't great, the room was clean(ish) but perfect for me as all I needed was a base for the nightlife and to go exploring!! My room was facing the road but no issues with noise (I stayed in Room 4) as there is a well protected balcony bit. ||||The hotel is quite hard to find. Kuta can be a nightmare for the non-local... one was streets and everywhere looks the same and limited road signs!!||||you get your breakfast included, which is basic to say the least!! Free wifi only in public area... the internet is actually not too bad! can facetime if you wanted.||||There is a moped rental three doors down, hire a moped for 50,000 - 60,000 per day, which is great way to explore Bali (I went up to Bedugul and GitGit which was nice - can get there and back in 1 day).||||The staff are OK, one of the night time staff was a good chap! Didn't speak much to the others to be honest.||||Finally Kuta..... "you want massage ... coke coke weed...

We were just staying for a night between traveling from the islands and the airport, so this was perfect. The room is basic, but clean. The bathroom had hot water. WiFi only worked outside the room. The hotel is really a hallway of rooms in an old building - no character and no common or lounge area (besides the restaurant downstairs). The check-in area is kinda sketchy - not representative of the room we received. Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised. The staff mentioned breakfast, but we didn't receive it or see it set up so maybe you had to ask in the morning (which we didn't)? He did help with a cheap ride to the airport. Good Location - very walkable to the beach, and kuta bars. 10-15 minute drive to...

Cheap room, but still not worth the price. Staff is very friendly as one of them tried to recrute people for his own transport and daytour bussiness. I found out later that he made me pay two and a half times as much for this service. You can trust nobody, but somewhere deep down I had hoped the staffmembers of the hotel might treat you different, especially after staying in the hotel for a week. Very disappointing. At the end of the day everybody is out to get your money, not to help you have a nice time. Same guy also kept knocking on my door the night before and the morning of my departure, because he knew I needed a taxi....
