I came back to Bali after 11 years and brought my family together to visit this city, where i called it my second home. It was a very special trip as we are celebrating our son's birthday here. ||Staffs : |I praised how efficient, polite and good the everyone were at handling everything in our booking from the beginning, through email replies, until the check-in and out process. The hospitality was truly extraordinary! If i was asked to rate their attitude, I would give more than perfect for them. They greeted us with a smile every time we went out and came back to the hotel. A simple "Hello, and how was your day ibu and pak? " These sentences made us feel so warm after coming back from a tiring full day of activities outside. So nice were them! ||Room : |We stayed there for 3 nights. Upon check-in, we were surprised with a room upgrade! Such a special gift for my son during his birthday getting more exclusive room to stay in. The room was huge, cozy, big and super comfortable! The pillows and bed were so good and fluffy! Bathrooms were big and came with all the needed amenities. Rooms were equipped with kitchenette and hot and cold water dispenser. Upon entering the room, we were welcomed with complimentary birthday decorations, balloons and a pre-order chocolate cake which i requested via email with them a week before we arrived. My son was happy and loved it! ||Breakfast :|Our stay included a morning buffet breakfast at Gabah Restaurant. The breakfast selection was good, there are asian, vegan, pastries and juice section. We sat at the table with a street view of Pasar Seni Kuta. ||Pool :|Our room is overlooking the pool from the first floor balcony. Pool size is good, not too small or too big, the depth is not suitable for young kids to swim without adult supervision. ||Conclusion :|This hotel has a very beautiful green softscape. The hotel surroundings and atmosphere are breathtaking. The location is great close to shop, souvenir shops just across the street, massage parlor, laundry, restaurants and Waterbom. The airport is just about 10–15 minutes away. Wish we had more time here so we could explore more of the facilities. We would definitely come back again next time. Thank you Ramayana for the memorable experience and great...
Read moreI stayed at Ramayana in a Family Suite for 5 nights with my parents, wife and children. It was a really, really lovely time. Ramayana is a relaxed, calm resort - small and manageable, but with great amenities. Our room was really lovely, and the hotel staff were really accommodating to our specific needs for the room (setting up the sofa bed, for example). The laundry machine and kitchenette was a nice addition for our family. The resort spa was great - we had many treatments while we were there, and loved all of them. Excellent spa. The breakfast was really quite nice. My expectations for breakfast at any resort is fairly low, but the breakfast and Ramayana exceeded them easily. Egg, noodle, and waffle stations, along with fresh fruit and pastries, and some nice warm food and a lovely looking vegetarian section. The whole family found lots to eat. On the topic of restaurants, there was good choice attached to the hotel, which made eating really easy. The service was very kind and very helpful. We had an odd booking, but each time I had to go to the front desk to clarify something, they were so helpful and so friendly - they were great. We particularly liked one of the guys working the pool bar in the evening - he chatted with us about drink recommendations and food, and made us feel very welcome. Additionally, I spoke at length with two of the ladies at the front desk, and they had peer less customer service skills. Zero complaints about the staff and service. I want to make special mention of the pool. As pools go, it was awesome. In addition to the beautiful gardens around it, it had a section that was covered by beautiful trees, which was very picturesque. Additionally, there was a very shallow section that made for a really effective "kid pool" - both of my children loved it. Beautiful and functional, it was a real highlight. Honestly, if I needed to add a "negative", all I'd say was the restaurants were a bit on the expensive side for Bali, but not uniquely so, and the food was really good, so it's hard to even call that a downside. Also, there were many other cheaper options nearby. Really, I have nothing but good things to say about our time at the Ramayana. Would...
Read moreReview of Ramayana Suites and Resort, Kuta, Bali (Stay: January 7–11)
I recently stayed at Ramayana Suites and Resort in Kuta, Bali, from January 7 to 11. My experience was a mix of positives and negatives, with some significant issues that made the stay less enjoyable.
Positives: • The location of the hotel is excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions and a vibrant atmosphere. • The live performances in the restaurant during the evenings were a highlight, offering a delightful cultural touch. • The breakfast spread was decent, and the cappuccino (though paid) was absolutely fantastic. • For general services and ambiance, the hotel performs reasonably well.
Negatives: • The room was initially fine for the first two days, but on the night of January 9, the AC started leaking water, leaving the room wet. When I called for room service, they cleaned the AC and its filter, which was horribly dirty. Unfortunately, after the cleaning, the AC stopped cooling entirely and functioned only as a fan. This made the nights uncomfortable. • The wardrobe door was broken, and though we adjusted, it was inconvenient. • The key card system for room access was unreliable, requiring frequent adjustments to make it work. • The last night’s sleep was particularly bad due to the lack of proper air conditioning.
Suggestions: For Indian travelers, I would recommend considering other options, as I felt the management didn’t address these issues proactively and took Indian guests for granted. Basic maintenance and better responsiveness from the staff could have made a big difference.
Overall, while the location, live performances, and some services were commendable, the maintenance and room conditions left much to be desired. For the price, I expected a more comfortable and...
