I could imagine it was a nice little gem this place, but the peace now broken by a construction right in front of the view. I woke up hoping for a nice peaceful nature view.. instead there is this big construction with tractor sound violating your peace. The sound is so loud.
And this is right in front of your room… so if I want to enjoy the view in the balcony, construction and workers is what I’m gonna see. I hope next time they would advised people about it.
Location is hard to find as there is no sign at all of the name and I have to call to have someone met me up. I was planning to check in after dinner, but the staffs were only operating until 5pm, so you wouldn’t be able to check in if you don’t come before 5pm unless you asked a staff to wait for you.
Room is very nice and cozy, and spacey, but really, with the construction, the room is all I have, and the noise makes me want to go out of the room. Not recommended if you’re looking...
Read moreI had a wonderful stay at The Grun. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute scooter ride or an easy 15-minute walk to the main street of Ubud. There’s a great café and yoga studio just minutes away too. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the necessities, including a small but well-equipped kitchen with a stove. Above all, I was incredibly impressed by the service from their staff, especially Yudha. He helped me with my luggage during check-in and check-out, and after I had left for the airport, he texted to let me know I had left behind more than $300 USD. He even ran out to search for me after I'd checked out, and when he couldn’t find me, he messaged immediately and waited for me in the rain. This young man is exceptionally honest and went far beyond his duties to look after me....
Read moreThis is my second experience with Grün Resorts after staying in Grün Uluwatu. We stayed here for 3D2N. The location is great and strategic. Thank you to Mas Yudha and Yegi who helped us during our stay, both were very welcoming.
The room was clean! However, I believe the hotel may not be very accessible for elderly guests due to the many stairs. I also found it a little strange that I had to pass through another villa to reach Grün Ubud. I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get the jungle or rice paddy views like previous guests, as there is villa construction at the back. Hopefully, Grun can take over that area in the future to expand, like they did in Uluwatu.
Overall, if you’re looking for a small, lovely cabin experience near the center of Ubud, I would...
