Located at Jl. Sriwedari, Ubud, quite far from Ubud center. We can judge this hotel perfect for tight budget person who need perfect sleep in the nice cleaning room and everywhere. Entrance road is a path for one car only, so you must beware if another car come from the hotel. Entrance gate made from nice ornamented bricks, cheap but very well designed. Front office was small but nice too, the staff very friendly and helpful.
The room is small but very cozy, industrial style design with unpainted wall and the lighting is very nice! The cool thing is the mattress, it's not a cheap one, it's very comfort mattress, respect their effort to satisfied your sleep. Although it's a small room but they got bathroom inside, small too, but nice and clean. The weird thing is, when you walk inside, it's a shower area, and walk in again, that's the toilet, that is very annoying, if you just shower, then some moment later you want to pee, then you must walk pass the wet shower area to reach the toilet bowl, too bad...the other thing is, there's no toilet shower, or a jet washer at the toilet area, that's not hygienic for taking a business just hope the tissue can wipe clean everything.......could be better. There's no fridge, no coffee maker, no 3-5 stars amenities, keep in your mind, they give you a nice, clean room with a very affordable price, if you want complete room's feature, just stay at more expensive one....
The hotel's pool area was beautiful, very tropical and so green. That's a real amazing for a budget hotel. They have 2 bedroom beautiful villas too, and it's well decorated and very clean. The breakfast leave you only two choice, fried rice or toast with eggs, come with a real fruit juice and coffee indeed. Consider the generous room's rate, the breakfast was nice....
All the staff was amazing, full of smile, very polite and very friendly. I think compare to the price, this hotel worth every...
Read moreThere are so many good things about this hotel but only one thing that I didn’t like.||Staff: They are always around and doing their best to meet everyone’s needs||Rooms: Industrial modern design, clean & with balconies. The sheets can be cleaner though!||Food: Haven’t tried it because the menu looked poor but within a walking distance; there are many options to choose from (Muse Cafe & Art for lunch & dinner, or B-Side Cafe & Lounge for some drinks, or Made’s Banana Flour Cafe for gluten-free desserts and some good coffee). All within few minutes from the hotel!||Location: Really nice quiet area. 20-min walk to the center but be careful that the roads aren’t the best in Bali because they are so small. I injured my legs badly on my way to the center as I fell down. ||Transportation: Ubud suffers big time from the ‘Local Taxi Mafia’ as they call it in Bali since Grab drivers are forbidden from picking up customers. So, if you’re lucky to get one, they will be very scared to get caught by local taxi drivers because they beat them & damage their car!|That was very inconvenient compared to Seminyak & Kuta as I refused to support that mafia and chose to walk if I cannot get Grab.||Pool: Small but nice ||The Worst Part: Being in the jungle comes with a price, I understand Ubud has lots of forests so there will always be so many creatures hanging around. Things I have never seen before and many lizards everywhere. |I hated that so much and that alone will make me think multiple times before staying in Ubud again.||Personally, I think staying in Seminyak, Kuta & Canggu is a great idea and a day trip to the highlands of Ubud would be more than enough.|Also, the centers of those areas are more fun...
Read moreOverall, a very nice place, away from the noisy streets of Ubud, but not too far a walk. Takes around 12 minutes, with plenty of local restaurants, mini marts and launderettes along the way.
The hotel is clean, has a nice design and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It can be a struggle at times with the language barrier but they do try and you can definitely get by.
My only gripe was it’s a little noisy, we were there at the end of November 2018 for a few days, and there was construction either side of the hotel, the walls are thin and it can begin at 8am which can be annoying if you want a late start. The frogs are also loud, and they make some weird noises, you’ve been warned.
Some rooms are better than others in terms of sunlight, which can help with drying clothes on the balcony, top floor is definitely better so try to request this.
Pool area is nice, worth of some instagram shots for sure. There is parking on site, but usually gets taken by the scooters, however if you have a car you can park on the street.
A couple more bonus points, the after dinner supper is small but a treat when you get in after a long day, after a couple of days you start to look forward to it. And then there is the permanent hotel resident, Bill. He’s an expat from USA, very kind and friendly, he’s a guy that knows a thing or two so have a chat if you spot him.
Very good value overall, in a nice area of Ubud, you won’t be...
