PUGIG Homestay — Hotel in Pulau Bali

First of all : the people working at Pugig Homestay , from Zet at the reception to Gusti responsible for the garden and Ketut and Ajou , they all made me feel very much at home ! To see their smiling , friendly faces is mood enhancing every morning and they always tried to find an answer to my questions or help me with a request and when I left after more then a month , I had the feeling to lose a kind of family . ||Penestanan where Pugig Homestay is located is a beautiful place to stay at Ubud : a lot of paths without cars nor motor bikes , a calm setting with trees, beautiful gardens . A lot of vegan good restaurants and also Warungs , a good yoga studio and friendly people every where.||As I read a critic about the cleanness , I would like to inform that I have already been staying at a more expensive hotel next to Monkey Forest Park in down town Ubud and it was less clean, though I payed more for my stay !|| The interiors of the rooms are very tasty and some of them quite 'design' . This changes from the more kitch style decoration, I have experienced at other homestays in Bali.||I will return again to...

We had 3 nights staying here, arriving with my husband who had the 'Bali Belly' which he kindly passed on to me the next day! That aside, and I'm not allowing that to cloud my judgements, my thoughts are I wouldn't choose to stay here. I didn't think the rooms were that clean - maybe I'm a clean freak! My daughter and partner had another room and we all wanted to book out the night we arrived. If you want basic accommodation at a cheap price - this is for you! The room is large and the outside deck we had was awesome. Beds are VERY firm. Banana pancakes were yum. It is a good 10 min walk into Ubud and there are a lot of stairs...coming back to Pugig in the middle part of the stairs I counted 63 steps in the middle of the walk up ...so probably 100 steps altogether, great exercise! I not knocking this place - it is good value for what it is. Our driver was 1.5hrs late in picking us up from Seminyak - we suspect they forgot to pick us up! Cheap...

Je suis restée 3 nuits au Pugig Homestay avec deux amies. Nous avions loué la chambre familiale. En fait, cela consiste en un grand bungalow sur deux étages. Une chambre et un salon se trouvent au deuxième, à aire ouverte et au bas, une plus letite chambre, salle de bain et grande entrée. Nous avions aussi un grand balcon. Ma pièce préférée était définitivement le salon au deuxième. Eau pour boire fournie gratuitement. Une seule clé pour 3 personnes. Il est bon à savoir que le bungalow est ouvert sur l'extérieur, donc des insectes peuvent entrer, mais cela n'a pas été un problème et je dormais sans moustiquaire. La localisation est un peu éloignée dans le secteur de Penestanan. Beaucoup de verdure! À proximité des restaurants. Possibilité de faire faire sa lessive sur place. Bon tarif. Piscine que je n'ai pas utilisé. Je suis ambivalente face à la réception. Parfois très gentil, parfois on a l'impression de déranger. Aussi, un point que je n'ai vraiment pas aimé, c'est que lors de notre dernière nuit, la réception vient nous voir avec une facture supposément pour payer le déjeuner, qui était inclu avec la chambre seulement pour 2 personnes. Lorsque j'ai dit que nous n'en avions pas été informé et que cela ne fait pas de sens que le déjeuner ne soit pas inclu pour tout le monde dans un chambre familiale, la personne est allée appeler la responsable et est revenue en disant que selon la responsable, elle m'en avait informé lors de mon arrivée, ce qui n'est pas le cas. Bref, nous n'avons pas pris notre déjeuner sur place le lendemain! Somme toute, bon rapport qualité prix pour un aussi...
