PURI SEDANA UBUD VILLA — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Puri Sedana Villa in Ubud is a lovely family-owned place, full of beautiful flowers and greenery. They are currently expanding with new villas behind the main house. Only one villa is ready at the moment, which is where we stayed.

The setting is perfect for anyone who loves being close to nature. Just be aware that you might encounter some insects, which is to be expected in such an environment. We also had a few lizards visiting the kitchen at night (the kitchen is outside of the room), but they were cute and harmless (as long as you don’t mind them!).

Everything was kept very clean, with daily housekeeping unless you request otherwise.

The breakfast was excellent, with fresh coffee, tea, and juice, a small smoothie bowl, a fruit plate, and a choice of main dishes like pancakes, noodles, rice, or a more international option with omelet and bread. We didn’t try the rice, as we preferred the noodles, which were so good that we even ordered them for dinner (for an additional charge). The price for dinner was very reasonable, and I highly recommend their noodles over instant supermarket ones. The owners were also very thoughtful – one morning, we had to leave at 2 am for a tour, and they prepared breakfast for us the night before to store in the fridge. This was a lifesaver, as some people on our trek struggled without having eaten.

The only downside was the noise from the construction of the new villa. One day, we stayed in to relax, but at around 8 am, we were woken up by the sound of building work, which went on until about 5 pm. There were quiet moments, but it wasn’t ideal when we wanted to unwind by the beautiful pool and instead had to deal with construction noise in this hidden oasis.

Apart from that, we have no complaints. The construction is temporary and unrelated to the villa itself, which is a stunning place with incredibly attentive owners. It's definitely worth...

Our 8 night stay at Puri Sedana was amazing. The place looks perfect, the room very clean, terrace and pool also. The host very friendly. Breakfast was very good and you can choose what to eat and when to bring it to the villa. Cleaning was made every day. It is close to Ubud centre and you have the opportunity to stay close to a nice Bali family and experience they way of a normal day by day life of villagers, not just a...
