Truth is, every thing was perfect, mostly thanks to the staff working during the day... BUT something was STOLEN from our room and this, we cannot accept. We had the room at the swimming pool level, and it was stollen during the night while we were out for the mount Batur trekking. We left at 3am and came back at 9, and when we came back the light was on and a 50EUR bath short was stolen. I Know this is not much, but it could have been worst! We did not feel safe after that and had to store everything in our luggages safely closed. This is not normal to have to hide everything valuable (clothes, bags ..)in your own room! And the time at which it was stolen makes us feel like it was someone who knew we would be out! Also the locker of the door to the pool area is not safe enough, anyone could try to open it with something similar to a screwdriver. At the end, after a one-week stay we asked for a discount because of that (600€ for the stay!) And the boss at the phone clearly didn't care and only thought about his money, he barely offered one meal which is about 10eur and we had no excuses at all! It clearly whipped out all the good experience.
Hotel is far from the center, grab is not allowed so you have to use the hotel shuttle (which is a private driver they call, you need to ask the staff when you want to use it) at 10am or 7pm and the return are at 3pm and 10pm.
Some equipment are getting old (scratched mirror, destroyed carpet...) And a bad smell comes from the bathroom from time to time
Up until we had something stolen from our room, everything was perfect! The employees are amazing, really considerate and really helpful. Always asking if we need anything by the pool or when we came back after a day out. They do everything, the cooking, the cleaning, the reception, the organisation ... Breakfast was incredible, good and huge ! We do recommend the restaurant as well, very very good and well presented. Do not hesitate to take dishes that are also in the breakfast. As they are either different (dadar, gulung, with coconut and sugar inside, a must, TRY IT!) or come with additional stuff ( nasi/mie goreng, Wich comes with skewers and chicken inside). Room is big, so is the bathroom Wich contains a bathtub and a shower. They provide bath salt, bath soap, body soap , shampoo and conditioner (not as samples, which is great for ecology). We didn't try A/C. But there was a bad smell from time to time. Swimming pool was great as well, they provide towels. 2 bottles per day and you can refill your water in the kitchen, there is a machine and water is from a big bottle, that's what they give you during breakfast. Overall the experience would have deserved a 20/10 ... It's a shame that we were...
Read moreI strongly recommend this hotel/villa, especially if you're travelling with a big family or group of friends. We booked the whole place for our group of 4 families. Although the hotel only has 6 bedrooms and we needed more, they can accommodate our needs with extra beds.||The top level (street level) has 3 bedrooms and a living room with a very nice view, one of the bedroom seems to be slightly bigger than the other 2, although all of them can fit an extra bed. The middle level has one bedroom with pool access, a large dining area, kitchen and a living room with a TV. This is where we spent most of our time and we felt at home. The bottom level has 2 large bedrooms but the stairs are outside of the house (next to the pool), so they may not be suitable for young children.||Breakfast was amazing, we get to choose the main menu the night before, and they cooked it on the spot in the morning. We get to use the kitchen too and there were plenty of plates, cutlery, etc, so we ordered food delivery for dinner and enjoyed our own dinner gathering in the hotel, stress free. They also provided drinking water, which was very helpful.||The staff were really nice, they were very patience with us, even when we asked to move some extra beds to the other rooms. They're also polite and helpful. ||The pool is great, the kids and adults enjoyed it. They also provided some pool towels. The deck needs some repairs, but this didn't reduce our satisfaction with the hotel, we just asked the kids to be careful when going into the pool. We hope they can fix this soon.||Overall, we are very happy we found this hotel and would recommend...
Read moreMy family of four booked this hotel. Unfortunately, we overlooked some important reviews regarding issues that we should have taken into consideration. I am writing this review to alert others about the strong unpleasant smell in the lower level rooms. We reserved two rooms and were given ones on the lowest floor, which was situated beneath the swimming pool. The hotel is structured on different levels, with upper levels closer to the street and lower levels descending towards the river Sakti.
There was a noticeable sewage odor in the rooms, accompanied by mold growth, likely due to poor plumbing and the high humidity in the area. Sleeping comfortably or even staying in the rooms was nearly impossible, leading us to spend most of our time outside. Despite considering finding alternative accommodations in Ubud, given the peak season, we were constrained by the limited options available.
We notified the staff about the issues and requested room changes, but unfortunately, all upper rooms were already occupied. The staff attempted to assist, but the smell worsened during the night. Additionally, we sought a partial refund, considering the unsuitability of the rooms for habitation. However, our request was disregarded by the owner/management, who, being non-Indonesian, appeared indifferent to our concerns.
Having traveled all the way from a distant location 12,000 km away and explored Indonesia for a month, this hotel marked our most significant disappointment during our trip.
I hope this revised version better conveys your experience...
