Umah Kayu Ubud — Hotel in Pulau Bali

This is a gem in Ubud, extremely quiet four rooms guest house called Umah Kayu (wooden house), you should request upper floor as there are two rooms at upper floor made of wood and excellent jungle view at the left side room. The rooms are huge and ample room to put your stuffs. The bed and pillow are very nice (sleep like baby). The bathroom is moderate size, but the shower is good, strong water power. The only minus is the room is quite dark, and lack of electrical sockets. A small terrace outside the room is the huge plus, you can sit at the long chair and a table for breakfast or work. As it is located near the residential area and jungle,then expect for nature sound. Ground floor has shared kitchen,so help yourself with cooking. A small swimming pool located at the edge of valley, quite clean and never busy so you can have it for yourself most of the time. There is motorbike rent at the guesthouse. Ten minutes easy walk to Ubud Center. Not difficult to find food. A cheap restaurant (Hang Out restaurant) just three minutes walk from guesthouse. The air condition is excellent. The Wifi is super cool. Breakfast has three choice, just let the owner know one day before so she has enough time to cook. Considering the location and price,this is a must choice to stay if you like nature, quietness, but still in walking distance to center. Absolutely...

Stayed at this amazing place for 2 nights. Booked through Airbnb but i believe they are also on other booking sites. ||Please use google maps to locate their place as the signage is a little hard to find on the road, especially in the night. The location is at the fringe of the Ubud shops so most of it is walking distance. Also, Ubud has a little ban online taxis like Grab (Asia version of Uber) and Gojek, but their location at the fringe makes it possible for pick-up. ||Room|The rooms are clean and equipped with a table and a wardrobe. There was adequate lighting and a television with cable as well. The mattress was thick, pillow and sheets were clean. Air conditioning was good too. ||Toilet|It’s an outdoor toilet which comes with a shower, tub and toilet. Really beautiful. Toilet was clean and there were no mould on the tub as well. ||Sleep|Overall the sleep in Utah Kayu was good. Please note that as Ubud may be a little rural, be prepared for some noise in the night such as dogs barking or cicada. So do bring some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
