I heard some hype about this place, and it was justified.
First off, their coffee and tea are excellent, lots of choices, there's not much else that need to be said. Just give it a try. Be careful with sugar, as indonesians tend to like their drinks on the sweeter side. You might want to consider asking your sugar on the side and mix it yourself as needed. You can also buy different types of coffee beans, packaged ground coffee, and tea for souvenirs, which of course i did!
Next: pastry, those were proper pastries, delicious. Indonesian taste with pastry has gone a long way in the past decade. Their Creme Brulee danish and chocolate croissant could compete with any similar pastry from any western country.
Then the food. They have a mix of different food from both eastern and western cuisines, mostly the crowd pleasers and comfort foods. And they tasted just as good as any. My kids are picky eaters but they gobbled it up. Also case in point: the "poached egg" that was served with the avocado toast, a seemingly very simple dish item, but actually difficult to do perfectly and due to its simplicity, there's nowhere to hide if you mess it up, and yet they did a perfect poached egg that will stand its ground in any high end French Restaurant. So i rest my case.
They have indoor air-conditioned seats, bar-style seats, indoor seats with ceiling fan, and outdoor seats. They also have free valet parking, as traffic can...

It's located in Ubud, which is an hour away from Denpasar/Kuta/Seminyak/Canggu region, tucked in a small alleyway (still driveable with a car).
To park here you need a bit of patience, since there's not much space for cars. Better yet, just take a walk or ride a motorcycle if you happen to stay in Ubud area.
You'll be welcomed with a cool atmosphere and a homey feeling. Classic Balinese decorations dominate the place but not too traditional. It does not have AC but has overhead fan (as far as I know, maybe I missed a couple of details here) but the place is cool enough you won't feel burning inside.
So I ordered the usual double espresso but no Iced Japanese, since it's substituted with their own Nitro coffee, which turned out to be amazing! They have their own tasing flight as well for the coffees so if caffeine isn't an issue for you before sleeping, consider ordering the tasting flight.
Most of their glasses (for example, mineral water) come from recycled beer bottle or sparkling water bottle, which is one of their unique selling point.
They also have pastries and cakes to try on, especially their cannéles, and also coffee beans to take home.
Whenever you are in Ubud, please do come to...
Read moreI think this is the best coffee shop at Ubud area.
Place was great, not too small and not to big. The design waa stunning, give warm and chill vibe of enjoying coffee. The chair was somehow so comfortable, so basically it's common plastic chair but they modified somehow so we can really chill to sit there. The coffee was amazingly soft, thanks to the good beans, thanks to the experienced barista, and most of all thanks for La Marzoco coffee machine that never fail to serve good quality coffee. The staff was so kind and humble to give me recommended coffee and explain the best and all time favourite of beans there.
I ordered Banjir Kopi Susu, it's basically milk coffee but they served it overflood, that makes grand new experience. As well, i ordered Flat White that they served very beautiful, it comes with brown sugar, cheese cookies, and tap water.
Somehow i appreciate when a artisan coffee shop serving your coffee with tap water as a compliment, it really indicates that you're serious about selling coffee.
Park? They have separated motorcycle parking area right in front of the shop, really safe and spacious.
Car? They tell me that they can do...
