Location is great and close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. However, I was originally given a room on the first floor and it smelled so horribly of sewage and feces, so I asked for a new room. They gave me a different room on the first floor which smelled even stronger of feces. After explaining this to the front desk again, I was finally moved up to room 213. Which didn’t smell at all, so that was an improvement. There is something seriously wrong with rooms on the 1st floor and they should NOT be renting those out to anyone.
Hotel feels somewhat safe, but I had an incident where someone was in my room when I wasn’t there and vandalized a bag that I had on my desk. Writing my room # on it with a pen. Brought this to the attention of the front desk as I was traveling alone for work and the only other people that should have been in there would have been employees. The front desk worker initially tried to blame me and didn’t do anything aside from take a picture of the bag. Never heard anything else about it. Thank god it happened on my last day there because I felt so unsafe after that.
The wifi is incredibly slow and unreliable, so don’t expect to get much use out of it. The walls are also very thin, so if your neighbor decides to blast music all night, then you just have to deal with ...
Read moreOne of the best hotels I have stayed in Israel and one of the best value worldwide (and |I spend +80 nights in hotels/year in 4/5* in Europe). ||Attention to detail is impressive: |From providing free coffee and HQ pastries all day in to an excellent quality buffet breakfast (all the food is like it was done on demand in a good restaurant, not massive production for a buffet breakfast). The breakfast has a covered terrace with sea views||The hotel is super well maintained and clean. Rooms are nice with modern bathroom. ||The GM is absolutely outstanding. We had to postpone our trip by one day and even if we booked via a travel agency that was useless, the hotel agreed to move forward the booking by one day instead of loosing one day of the booking. They had no obligation whatsoever but they did it. |Minimal areas of improvement: Provide water in the room on a daily basis or improving the sound proofing as some times you are awaken by people in the corridor.||If rooms had a balcony it would be a 5stars. Will definitelly come...
Read moreI booked through Booking.com for 2 nights at the Prima Tel Aviv for the end of May. I went to check the booking 9 days before we arrive only to find it had been cancelled. I emailed the hotel. Got no reply. I rang the hotel and was left waiting for reception for around 15 minutes and then the call dropped. I tried to message through Booking.com and that did not work. I sent 2 emails, no response. In the end I rang booking.com customer service and they informed me that the reservation was cancelled by the hotel. I received no communication from the hotel nor from Booking.com about it and although I escalated a complaint through Booking.com I am not expecting to get to the bottom of this. So, that is why I left one star. I have no idea if the hotel is nice or not but the opportunity to be there was removed from me when the hotel just went ahead and cancelled the booking for a reason that appears will remain unknown. Beware...
