The room is very nice-looking with modern decoration, clean and spacious. This isn’t really a seafront hotel, as it is located on the second row from the beach, behind an apartment building, so the seaviews are very limited. I wouldn’t personally choose this for a seafront beach holiday because of this, even though the hotel is located along the long beach of Alghero. The standard and superior rooms don’t offer a seaview, you have to book a deluxe. Our room had a yard view, which was ok for a short stay.|Breakfast was very good, diverse with a good choice of many things, what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. We were able to enjoy the breakfast on a terrace with a beautiful seaview and Capo Caccia view. |The view from the rooftop is great over the city to the beach and all the way to Capo Caccia. We weren’t informed of the rooftop and pool areas existence on arrival, but luckily I already knew about it and so was able to enjoy a sunset from the rooftop. We also weren’t told anything about other hotel facilities either, such as the existence of a gym, so this was a bit disappointing from the reception. ||Right after I had returned to my room from the town, I got an unexpected phone call from the reception and the receptionist woman told me that she had deleted our passport information from the computer and demanded me to rush back to the lobby right away. I told her that I will bring the passports to her again later this evening, but she demanded them right now. She even said she will rush to the room right now to fetch them, but I said that isn’t possible as my husband was very tired, asleep and I don’t know where his passport is. This was not quite 4 star service, but rather odd. Later when we were on our way to dinner, we dropped by the lobby to solve this issue, so the attempt to rush us was unnecessary. The receptionist man...
Read moreHello there and welcome to a really exceptional small hotel. Set back from the road it doesn't appear by this location:hidden almost - from the beautiful beach and calm sea waters across the road.
We were cheerily welcomed by the reception managers and also accommodated each morning by the cleaning ladies who kept our room tip top throughout our stay: thank you ladies. The bed was really big and very comfortable.
My partner and I, Breege enjoyed our 10 day stay here and the breakfast's were really good and served in these Covid times by the happy and accommodating staff of Rosa and Louisa. You can eat this breakfast alfresco or indoors under the shade of the pool and enjoy the panoromic views of Alghero and its harbour's and mountains at the same time
The bedroom we had, had a small balcony that helped us chill out in the evening before eating out in the huge array of restaurants still open between the 28 August and the 09 September.
Thank you to the member of staff who sorted out the safe which failed to open (at about 3am) which had our valuables exp. passports therein as we packed up to come home.
We had a terriffic holiday on your beautiful Island and we look forward to stayiong in Hotel Alma di Alghero Gerry & Breege, Dublin, Ireland
Also the beautiful 5th floor or roof top pool while not heated is a joy once you get accustomed to its chill! Plenty of sun loungers with an added top to shield your head and shoulders from the Sardinian sun. Breege and I highly rate this hotel and...
Read moreIn general hotel is not bad but I would say that 4stars is bit too much.
For the pluses I would say that boarding, reception, staff and housekeeping was very well. Everything as planned, rooms cleaned every day, fresh towels etc. All of that is in place. Very good location of the hotel, not in front line so you can find some quiet here, at the same time very close to sandy beach and 15-20 minutes to old town with a lot of restaurants, icecreams etc.
For minuses - rooms are dark (at least our was), bathroom is clean however it’s visible that require some refreshment, beds were terrible 😞 the feeling is that just before me there was Obelix as a guest and was sleeping whole month laying with tummy down 🤦🏻♂️ thanks I was there only 3 nights as I left more tired than relaxed… same was with beds for kids, which were looking like a camp bed rather then 4 star hotel and again terrible mattress additionally very flat. another thing is breakfast, well really poor, missing plates if something is finished than rarely it’s top up, so people just in case taking just a little more on plate and later classically it finished in the bin (of course half of responsibility is on those people). Also not much things to choose from and I really wonder how it’s looks like in high season (we were at the end of May). Swimming pool is nothing special completely lack of any plants, nothing what could made their nice climate. Just swimming pool with beach loungers...
