Called in tonight without reservation and were facilitated no problem. The ambiance was good and service staff very friendly our starter was very nice and we both ordered different fajitas form main course. We were very dissappointed with what arrived! Very small portion with little or no peppers and onions and my wife's chicken fajita was no different, we were given a capful of refried beans between us and no accompaniments of guacamole sourcream or salsa.! Only 6 small very! Tortillas to share! . After asking about accompaniments I was told they don't come with the fajitas! I have travelled extensively to holiday resorts and ALWAYS try Mexican food and this was my first disappointment 😞 Food tasted good but very mean on ingredients! While we had planned on calling a second time before our holiday finished this disappointment will prevent us from calling back. On what happened we would not recommend a visit!!!! Ok, so Cantina Ranchera is not your typical #italian or #sardinian restaurant! 🇲🇽🌮🌯🫔🇲🇽 Yes it is #mexican or #texmex So the food in #alghero is amazing, and we have tried #spanish influenced and #italian restaurants but for something a little different, come here! The #fajitas, chilli con carne, guacamole are all fantastic and reasonably priced and their #margarita is heavenly.

Ottima esperienza! Bel locale, caratteristico il "garden" esterno, servizio perfetto con cameriere molto sorridenti ma soprattutto cibo molto buono e con ingredienti di qualità. Prenotato in agosto all'ultimo e c'era posto, in via non trafficata e forse poco battuta da turisti. Molto buona la qualità della carne, manzo tenerissimo, saporito, (la fajitas è fatta flambé al tavolo) frittura asciutta e croccante, sangria VERA con molta frutta (anche banana e kiwi!!!), prezzi giustissimi... Complimenti!! Alla fine se uno è in vacanza dice "ma cosa ci vado al Messicano in Sardegna, c'è dalle mie parti"... per cambiare una sera ci sta, e visto che è così buono, anche due!!

The worst!!!

Grumpy and rude waitress. Basic and boring food. Waited an hour for the food.

We've never had such a bad experience in a restaurant!

After being seated we waited 20 minutes for ordering and after that 50 minutes for the food. No exaggeration.

The waitress couldn't care less and what seemed to be the owner was just as grumpy, rude and careless as the waitress.

We ordered plain ordinary mexican food but it was served so basic, boring and uninspiring.

A fork was dirty with leftovers from food.

I had 3 main courses and the desserts from the menu during 2 visits. Plus they put together a wiener schnitzel for my son as he is pretty picky. I can't decide which I appreciated the most. The food or the staff's kindness. The food, apart from the desserts is better than okay, you migh definitely want to revisit the place.
