Raggio di Sole — Restaurant in Alghero

Lovely underrated beachside restaurant.. from the street, the place doesn’t look like somewhere that would pull you in but from the 3 occasions we visited this place, it was one of our favourite places to dine .

We first went here on the day of arrival and saw it had decent reviews.

We went in, were welcomed by a friendly waitress who was attentive and gave us special recommendations aside from what was on the menu .

This was the only place that they gave nice and juicy king prawns and langoustines when ordering the fregola.

The tiramisu was delicious and almost twice the size of some of the other restaurants.

The view is lovely too.. you get to look out across the seafront.. far out across capo caccia.

My family and I had 2 wonderful dinners here while on holiday in Alghero. The monk fish starter was delicious as were all the other dishes we tried. Il ristorante Raggio di Sole non può essere descritto in altro modo se non con il suo stesso nome , un ristorante tipico , direttamente sulla spiaggia , dal sapore della vera Sardegna come pochi altri ci hanno potuto regalare . Il servizio è quello che ti aspetti , tranquillo , cordiale , informale ma preciso , così da farti sentire quasi a casa ; un plauso anche all'organizzazione delle serate con musica del mercoledì che spero continuino . La cucina , pulita ed efficiente, ci mette tutto il suo impegno per rendere giustizia al menù offerto , con diversi piatti del giorno fuori dalla carta , pesce freschissimo , pasta fresca e carne di prima scelta e dessert ; i sapori che ne derivano sono all'eccellenza , sapori che porterete con voi per il resto della vacanza . I prezzi sono onesti , non si potrebbe chiedere di meno vista la materia che utilizzano . Qui potrete gustare piatti davvero tipici , nulla di eccessivamente elaborato e non avrete un menù da 100 pagine ma quello che propongono lo fanno con cura e dedizione , a volte Less is More e qui ne avrete la prova .
