My wife and I have visited Ristorante Fronte Mare several times just for drinks and were always tempted by the delicious-looking dishes we saw being served. This evening, we finally decided to stay for dinner, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was fantastic—my wife had a traditional Sardinian pasta, which was rich in flavor and perfectly cooked, while I opted for the Tuna, which was fresh and beautifully prepared. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. The service was equally commendable—friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Ristorante Fronte Mare is a gem in Alghero, and we highly recommend it. We'll definitely be returning!

Fronte Mare in Alghero is the perfect place to have an amazing excellent meal. Located right on the beach, it has everything; best location , delicious food, and great service. I read some reviews that said the service was poor. We did not experience that at all. Our hostess and server were wonderful. Try the local dish “fregula with seafood “. Fregula is a local pasta and this one is packed with mussels, clams, calamari, and prawns. It was absolutely delicious. Every bite was an adventure.

Io e il mio ragazzo siamo stati in questo fantastico ristorantino sulla spiaggia esattamente un mese fa, in occasione del mio compleanno! Appena siamo entrati abbiamo subito notato la grande attenzione e disponibilità verso il cliente, si respira semplicità e cortesia, il pranzo è stato accompagnato dai sorrisi delle cameriere e dal profumo del mare, oltre quello di tutti i prodotti buonissimi che cucinano! Noi abbiamo optato per la paella, ENORME e buonissima! Il mio stomaco da uccellino mi fa sempre lasciare qualcosa nel piatto e ogni volta devo specificarlo perché altrimenti sembra che non abbia gradito quando in realtà era ottima😍 Abbiamo preso anche due tiramisù buonissimi e qui definirli enormi sarebbe riduttivo, la cameriera, di cui purtroppo non ricordo il nome quando ce li ha portati ci ha detto "ho scelto i più grandi" ed ero già in crisi perché non ci stava più nulla ma troppo golosa per rinunciare 😂 Ringraziamo Carla per le risate, dopo essersi coalizzata con il mio ragazzo mi ha "sgridata" per aver lasciato un po' di tiramisù e ha reso quella giornata ancora più divertente! Questo posto ha fatto sbocciare l'amore per Alghero, si respira aria di casa e sembra di essere accolti in una grande famiglia, quando torneremo sarà sicuramente il nostro punto di riferimento, dobbiamo assolutamente provare il resto del menù! 5 stelle sono poche!

The service seems quite chaotic. It started off with being asked 5 times in several minutes whether we wanted water. We had ordered one bottle of still and I ordered some green tea, the first time they asked. In the end we got the bottle and I got a black tea, instead of a green. I only found out after I'd put the bag in the pot. Therefore I decided to drink it anyway. For my main meal I ordered linguine vegetariani, I got linguine with shellfish and olives. I said "this is not what I ordered, I ordered vegetarian linguine". They told me that this was the vegetarian linguine. I guess I didn't pay enough attention at biology, because apparently shellfish seem to be a form of plant. Since I'm not vegetarian, I did eat it in the end. It tasted pretty good, even though I didn't get...

The location is nice, right in front of the beach. The food quality is good but it's overpriced as the nice interesting sauces have been replaced by a boring soya sauce and the quantity reduced (we ordered their "nudi e crudi", crudite de mair). The service was really bad: very slow, very messy (some dishes never arrived) and some comments were extremely rude (the waiter didn't realize I could understand her Italian) and needlessly so, as we were very polite and never complained for the poor service we were receiving. Sadly we were very disappointed as came here with the expectation that it would be as good as it has been in the past years but now I really wouldn't...
