BEWARE! There is no one on premises should you encounter a problem, and we DID encounter a problem with the plumbing. The room smelled of sewage and they did not fix it. They wouldn't even come to the hotel to see what we had complained about. Via Text they offered us a different room but when we got back to the hotel, there was no other room available and there was no one to speak with. We had no choice but to endure the smell until the next day. The other thing is the so-called breakfast. You have to walk a block away to a small cafe for 1 coffee and 1 pastry - that is it! That is not breakfast. When we first arrived, the people were there to greet us and were in quite a rush to take our money (which I thought was odd), give us the keys and then leave. It was like they were bothered that they (2 women) had to be there at all. They did give us a WhatsApp # to text with them, but we never saw them or were able to speak with them again, even when we checked out. There are absolutely no amenities nor customer services here at all. You are totally on your own. I wish you good luck if you choose to stay at this place. Also understand that there is no elevator, so you must carry your luggage up a very long flight of stairs by yourself. There is no one there to help you at all. "Palazzo" is definitely a misnomer! I strongly suggest you stay...
Read moreGreat place on the surface but limited when actually staying as a guest. We were able to get the room with a jacuzzi but when the jets were turned on, brown flecks of dirt started coming out all throughout the bath. It also refused to warm up and quickly became ice cold. Even the shower had no hot water left after this. This was the one major issue- if the jacuzzi is going to be in the room and priced accordingly please make sure it works and is clean. Beds are not made after the first day, and bathroom smelled of sewage. On the positive side, it was in a great location next to a wonderful park. Fine place for a few nights, but definitely not priced appropriately given difficulties experienced...
Read moreStayed there with 3 of my adult children (18, 18, 20) for one night before catching plane back to NYC. There was no one at reception on the Saturday evening of our arrival but the owner gave detailed instructions on getting in the building and the space was beautiful and clean. The owner contacted us before our arrival to sure our arrival was smooth. Great spot to stay that's near the airport but does not feel like an airport hotel since it's a very beautiful room in a historic building. Restaurant literally nextdoor was delicious and we had a great last night dinner there before our last gelato in another beautiful cafe...
