Pizzeria Fermento 2.0 — Restaurant in Cefalù

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! There are so many better options in Cefalu! They are clearly trying to scam you, so check your bill VERY carefully! It is too PRICY for a pizza restaurant!

I had an absolutely awful experience at this pizza restaurant. The service was the worst we encountered in all of Sicily. The staff member was rude and unfriendly, with zero effort to even smile or make us feel welcome. To make matters worse, they spilled half of my drink on my jeans and didn’t even bother to apologize. They didn’t offer to replace the drink either. On top of that, they charged us for a drink we didn’t even order, and had the audacity to add an extra fee for plates just because we ordered a second pizza after finishing the first—despite never asking for extra plates!

As for the pizza, it was just a regular pizza, definitely nothing special, especially in Italy, where there are so many far superior places in Cefalu try the one 20 meters away from this restaurant - at least they smile and their pizza is much more better.

The only positive aspect of the visit was the lady who served us and tried to explain the menu, but that’s the ONLY redeeming quality of this place. AVOID THIS RIP-OFF if you don’t want to be taken...

We tried to get a table but were told to return in 25 minutes, which we did. On our return, the restaurant was quiet, we were seated and looked at the menu. Eventually our order was taken after 20 minutes. The beer they had was terrible and I couldn't finish it even though it was €5 for a half pint. The pizza took over 40 minutes to arrive and although it was nice the waiter's never gave any update about why it was taking so long. Everyone in the restaurant was waiting for food for a long time, we were just about to pay for our drinks when pizzas were put on our table so we had our food. Pizzas were nice but certainly not worth the wait or the arrogant waiting staff. We paid the bill to the penny as simply couldn't justify any sort of tip as it would just be rewarding terrible behaviour. Sadly the experience was very poor. Take your hard earned money to another another restaurant where your custom will be...

Likely the best pizza I’ve ever had. The Margherita 2.0 was so good I honestly almost got tears of joy.

We ordered a Margherita, Margherita 2.0 and a Mortadella starter. Everything was amazing!

The server was kind and helpful. The ambience and setting were just right.

Most importantly, the flavors and dough were as good as it gets. Light, flavorful, light and crispy, and cooked just right on both pizzas.

The mortadella was tasty as well packed with unique flavors and lightly fried dough. Worth getting and lighter than expected.

We arrived right when they opened and luckily they were able to seat us without a reservation. I’d recommend making one to be safe.

The obvious care that’s gone into the whole operation, from ingredients, to cook times and temperatures, dough preparation and thickness, and staff is clear. My only regret is not being able to eat more of...
