We loved Casa Lora! Paolo and his wife are welcoming hosts who go over the top to make your stay delightful. The accommodations are comfortable, clean and feel very authentic to the area. The views from our terrace were incredible! When we arrived after a red-eye flight from the U.S., the hosts took good care of us with a delicious lunch and a pitcher of wine. The grounds are gorgeous! We took advantage of the Turkish sauna and its healing properties, as well as the pool. You can create your own hydrotherapy routine in October with a cold plunge and sauna! As mentioned in other reviews, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner made by the family, which was one of the highlights of our stay. Paolo also provided us with recommendations for whatever we needed which included his friend’s taxi service. We called him whenever we needed a ride and he was there in 15 minutes- huge bonus! Do visit Poseidon thermal baths when you’re on the island - so relaxing. I 100% recommend Casa Lora and we...
Read morePaolo was the most incredible host !!! I am so grateful to have met him and to have had these days at his family home. He was so kind to pick me up and drop me off to my ferry. Immediately we became friends and he really looked out for and took care of me throughout my entire stay - which while traveling alone meant so much ! His home is on the most beautiful property with comfortable rooms and beds and even a pool ! Staying near Forio was amazing because I was able to walk to many of my favorite destinations on the island including the gorgeous Sant Angelo. He also lives on the property and I was able to spend time with his family including a home cooked dinner which was divine. To anyone traveling to Ischia - I would highly recommend this amazing stay !! Insane value for the money and some of the best hospitality I have ever experienced....
Read moreIt was a dream! Here we enjoyed one week of the real Ischian experience in July which is the recommended time to visit the island because it's not that crowded and the weather is really fine. This place it's great, we stayed on this not-so-little piece of paradise up on the hill, with a large beautiful garden and pool from where you can watch the sunrise and enjoy the marvellous ischian surroundings. The house was built on top of an old winery, therefore the rooms are rustic decorated making it even more authentic and cozy. Daily cleaning is a rule! Paolo, the host, and his family are really nice and warm, you can ask them anything about the island and Paolo can help you with car/scouter rental, boat trips and everything you need. We highly recomand this place for a great...
