Suite Santa Tecla — Hotel in Milan

The hotel is nice, a bit expensive, but the location is good, the rooms are big, and the facilities are good. The triple room is directly a suite and is very large. The only bad thing is that the extra bed is a canopy bed (a common problem is that the middle of the bed is sunken, sometimes the feet are higher than the head, and the side of the bed is painful). It is similar to the hotels in Rome, not as good as the ones in Siena and Venice. Plus The beds are normal thick mattresses.One important thing to note is that when we booked, we clearly chose a triple room with a queen bed and a single bed. However, when we checked in at the hotel, the store said that there would be an additional charge for the extra bed. We immediately contacted Ctrip customer service, and the matter was resolved in less than half an hour. The store only charged a city tax of 20 euros. This property is located just around the corner from the Duomo and near the metro for easy travel through the city, though most sights were within walking distance. We were greeted upon arrival by a helpful and friendly woman who showed us to our lovely suite and explained the ins and outs. You should be aware that this is an apartment, not a hotel, so there is no daily maid service unless you arrange for it and pay extra, not an issue for our two night stay. There is no one at a reception desk 24/7, just someone in the lobby during daytime working hours. Likewise, there is no maintenance person available at all times. We had an issue with the shower not draining when no one was there. The guest book said to call At Your Service for problems, but there was no information about how to do so. I emailed our issue to the reservation email address late at night and got a quick response, but a plumber was not available until the next day after we were to check out. Thankfully, we could still use the shower! Despite that problem, this was a great place to stay. On a whistle stop tour before flying back we decided to visit Milan after The Dolomites so the wifey booked this place, its a great location and is a very large 2 bed Apartment, Lounge and integrated small kitchen which in all honesty serves its purpose and is good.
