Flash — Restaurant in Milan

Safe to say this was one of the most lousy services in my life. I think that maybe the management is bad or the servers’ pays are poor because as soon as we walked in to get seated we were met with attitude.

Still, we sat down and I had to get up to ask the woman managing the outside tables to get served after 20 minutes of waiting. She did not like that and started getting mad and yelling at her daughter who also works there. So silly to watch.

Finally, she took our order like we were inconveniencing her so badly. First, my friends food came out, and me and my other friend had to wait 20 minutes because they accidentally gave our pizzas to the table in front of me. I mentioned it to the food runner and he just said “it will come”. So, now my table was getting them so mad that the lady working outside walked by us to give us nasty death stares. We literally were kindly requesting normal service. We were not complaining; we were just hungry and acting normal.

Absolutely perfect. Everything. The place, in a corner of a street is confortable and very pleasant, marking a big difference in atmosphere with the other restaurant next door. The service of Melo, the maître, is remarcable as professional in every aspect: correct, serious, sympathetic, and with that special ability to empathize with all clients, regardless of their nationality, personality or habits. We eat zucchini flowers filled with ricotta and anchovies, grilled salmon and tagliatelle with lobster, wine prosecco and tiramisú. The salmon was perfect, but the tagliatelle... God hasn't given a name to the feeling of tasting something as this plate... absolutely amazing... I only can think in coming back to this restaurant in my next visit to Milano. Well, this place is uninspired. We were brought cold bread to start, no olive oil or plates, just cold bread. The pasta dishes are bland and boring. No love or real flavour put in the dishes. This place does not do Italian food justice whatsoever, I expected much more. Menu states a €2,50 cover charge per person, but we were charged €5,00 each. Uninterested waitstaff and noisy atmosphere.

Edit: we decided to give them one more shot and try the pizza. Waitress was unbelievably rude and acted like we were stupid, for ordering pizza, in a pizza shop.... Then we got the wrong pizza. I can't tell if they act this way to everyone, or if it's because we're not Italian. Overall awful experience both times. Save yourself the time and money and find a place that actually wants...
