The most terrible experience I’ve ever had!!!!!
I have travelled to more than 30 countries and lived in different hostel. But none of them can be more terrible than this.
At first glance, the hostel is good—great bed, good pillow, nice environment. But then, you will get a shower without hot water; the sheets with yellow spots on that; the bed bug and a broken waterproofing system in bathroom.
Above that, and probably the most terrible thing, is the STAFF. One lady is super racism and rude. When I told her my sheets is dirty, she looked at me strangely and didn’t say anything. I repeated that again and again—until someone else transferred into Italian, she finally said, I know what he’s talking about. (So why you kept quiet?) Then, she SMELLED the sheet, and said, it is clean! Then, I pointed the yellow part to her, she said, yeah, I can change that for you. But it is CLEAN! —COME ON! Is it this hard to admit your mistake??????? Then, I reported the shower issue. She said, oh, yeah, but you can use the public shower—again, no apologize. If I can use the public shower, why should I pay extra for this en-suite bathroom!??? Finally, I asked the reception to book a taxi for me in the morning when I arrive. The same lady, said, okay, you should come at 8:00pm. When I came at 8, she said, you should come tomorrow. So I came again tomorrow in the morning—asked the again, and they said everything is confirmed. Then, I dropped off at the reception in the evening , same day. The lady glanced at me(super rude), but didn’t say anything. Then, I asked her the taxi issue—it turned out they forgot to book the taxi. So they booked However, I didn’t see the taxi next morning so I ended up with using FREENOW to book a taxi by myself. I receive a better service in FREENOW than in this hostel.
I think she is racism as I saw her yelling at an Asian lady. But she show a good face to other, white people-surprisingly, she can be that friendly!!!!!!!
This is my first negative review on my whole hostel experience. Now my skin turned red and itch, i think this is the revenge from their...

I really want to start by saying that the staff and volunteers here are sweet. They’re warm, patient and open to feedback. The rooms and hallways are clean, the laundry was affordable and the rooms are smartly designed. I stayed in a top bunk and actually loved the setup; the ladder was practical and the partial privacy was great. The location is also convenient, just a few minutes from the station and supermarket. And honestly the breakfast deserves its own shout-out: freshly cooked veggies, eggs, potatoes etc. Easily the best breakfast I’ve had in a hostel in Napoli.
That said, I booked this place mainly to rest and get work done, and unfortunately that didn’t work out for me. The photos made it seem like a great space for remote workers, but there aren’t many places to sit with a laptop, especially when the weather is bad. The only real option inside was the kitchen table, and with limited chairs and frequent cleaning times, I often had to move. I ended up working in multiple rooms and eventually even from my bed, which wasn’t ideal. So if you’re a digital nomad looking for consistent workspace, this may not be the best choice.
I also didn’t get much rest due to the guests in my dorm; lights on in the middle of the night, talking and one person even sleeping in the common area. I know that’s not necessarily the hostel’s fault, these things can be pure luck, but it did affect my stay.
One more note: the tote bag situation was a bit confusing. A bag was placed on my bed, so I assumed it was for guests to use during the stay. There’s only a small sign saying they aren’t for guests to take, but nothing was mentioned at check-in. I wasn’t the only confused person; another family had the same issue. A little clear communication would solve that easily.
There’s a lot to like about this place. I think if you’re not planning to work and you book a private room, this could be a great stay. For rest and productivity in a dorm not so much. But thank you again...

And yes, located at a "pretty ideal" location for the city's sightseeing is due to its proximity of (starting with a "downhill way"): just about a 20-minute walk south (through a "vibrant area" with a number of crowded streets & plenty of all types of shops) to the city's "main square" Piazza del Plebiscito with Palazzo Reale ("very worthwhile" visiting for its great interior) & Basilica di San Francesco on the two ends of the square; just about a 10-minute walk north (also through a "vibrant area") to the Montesanto funicular station for the visit to Castel Sant'Elmo (just about a 10-minute uphill ride followed by about a 5-minute walk up there to the Castle for some "panoramic views" of the city & Mt. Vesuvius) and actually just a further short walk to the Montesanto metro station for a "direct line" to the Garibaldi station (the station arriving to/leaving from Naples by train); and yes just a few-minute walk downhill to the area right around (as just mentioned with its "lively streets" and yes where my usual food place was this small "pizza/spaghetti trattoria" in the narrow street about 2 blocks away from this place).||So yes, just about the "only downside" about this place (just in relation to having to go downhill from here to everywhere else as mentioned above) is its "uphill location" not much of convenience for coming back in the evenings (but yes not much of a big deal for a short stay I would say).||And also, many thanks are for the gentleman (likely the manager) who was just quite cooperative & helpful with everything from the check-in to showing to the room to preparing breakfasts in...
