Average restaurant with no highlights and a bit pricey. We went there in 3, one of us is a local from Naples centre, on Sunday and the place was open after 15:30. Usually most places close at that time. They're was very little to wait and they got us in. We ordered 3 pasta Genovese, one each. To share we also ordered one portion of fried calmars&shrimps and an extra portion of pasta with telline (small tasty clams). The Genovese was very liquid and it was basically onions with almost no meat. The Telline pasta was ok but nothing special. The fried fish was a bit gummy, not too frsh.
We also got a bottle of water and 1/2 lt of the white house wine. We spent 60e in total. Pasta was 8e per dish (32e in total) and 28e for 1 portion of fried fish, wine and water: a bit pricey.
A place to visit if you have no other options. On the good side the service was friendly, so the second star is granted but for us it'll be extremely hard to visit it again, given the vast selection of very good food...

Me, my wife and a friend were visiting Naples for the first time. We decided to visit this restaurant based on the reviews however we was let down greatly. Where do I start, firstly the waitress couldn’t provide a menu and this was already a red flag as we didn’t know prices. Secondly, they didn’t provide an English menu unlike other nearby restaurants. In addition, we spent 1hr+ waiting on the food (even Though the restaurant wasn’t busy). Once the food finally arrived it was very low standard, Pasta e patate was very bland and heavy. Toilets were terrible and very dirty. We also noticed other dishes that other customers had that was not explained to us. All in all it was a horrible experience, would not recommend and only settled as we was extremely hungry. Don’t know why this is a 4 star,...
Read moreTrattoria del Sole is a family run place you should definitely check out if you happen to be in town. It felt like walking in someone’s home. We were warmly welcomed by the chef patron and led inside the restaurant. After a heavy breakfast (and gallons of water to make up for the heat) we weren’t excessively hungry so we opted for a plate of pasta. I opted for a seafood pasta while my husband picked the pasta con telline. Both were perfectly executed - the sauces were unctuous, well-seasoned and balanced. The mussels were done right - plump and juicy…This is a place I would gladly return to next time...
