+: the triple room was large and clean and decorated nicely. The parking is inside the premises and there is a closed gate so it's quite safe. The location is good for going around in the city. The host allowed us to let the car parked while we would walk around the city even though we were checked out, which was really nice. The AC is really efficient and on sleep mode relatively quiet. -: the bathroom was extremely small so it gets really hot after one shower. The villa is directly near a street that is quite busy in the morning. There were noises the whole morning; construction, people cleaning the street, horses (??)...The house is a bit old and the doors are quiet heavy so you are awake when the first customer leaves. In the morning there were some italian woman (mother of the host?) that putted the radio super loud in the garden in front of our room and played with the child so no regards for the guests. I could sleep with ear plugs but without it's a no go. The host was friendly but not really attentive, she didn't give any tip for restaurant or what to do in the city and you could see she just wanted to go home. When we asked for something she helped us though. For a B&B it doesn't have any charm, it's just made to make money. So for a night it's ok...
Read moreWe stayed for 1 night in May with 2 double rooms booked. We paid £215 for the 2 rooms incl. bed & breakfast. In general Villa Regina needs a bit of TLC and compared to the photos the rooms and garden were a disappointing. Decor and breakfast service appear to have been done 'on the cheap' and it shows. |The breakfast area is slightly make shift and not quite the breakfast offering described on the website. As other reviews have mentioned, not sure where the refrigeration is so milk, juice etc are all warm with what looked like bits of kitchen roll for napkins. |The garden had weeds, no cushions on seats, a glass table was badly cracked, rusting seats etc. When I checked back on the website, again, the pictures were very different to what we saw on our stay.|I did email the hotel directly to give them the feedback but no response to date.|Therefore, I would advise, look around and see if you can get better value for your money.|I would note that the member of staff covering reception, breakfast etc was very good and helpful, no complaints...
Read moreHad initially booked a 2 night stay here via Agoda which was non refundable with my wife and toddler. We decided against spending 2 nights in Pisa and Michela was kind enough to allow us to cancel 1 night without paying any penalties and we were granted a full refund for one night.
The B&B itself was very nice and clean. Was pleasantly surprised. Room was spacious and the B&B has a garden area with a decent amount of toys which kept our toddler occupied.
It is situated about a 15 min walk from the tower of Pisa which was a walk through a nice quiet neighborhood. It is also easily accessible from Pisa train station by a short bus journey.
Michela was absolutely fantastic. We were given a choice of drinks upon arrival and Michela had told us to contact her with any issues, regardless of time. At 3am, when we struggled to book a taxi, I called Michela who helped us book one in the middle of the night. A fantastic host who was very friendly...
