Casa dolce casa — Hotel in Ravello

We liked that the room was sparkling clean. The bed was big and very comfortable. Breakfast view was nice. Breakfast was nice and the girls serving it were polite and friendly. The girl at the reception gave us a very good recommendation for the only place that was open in Ravello for dinner, and it was a great recommendation! With that said, there is a lot of room for improvement. The woman at the reception was extremally rude. Her reply to everything we asked such as if there are any attractions we should see or if we could drop our luggage for storage ~1-2 hours before check-in was simply 'No'. Without explanations or apologies. Honestly it was the only place I ever visited which denied keeping our luggage before check-in, which I find very odd. I sincerely think she is trying to be nice but unfortunately I believe she still needs to learn how to make people feel welcomed. Another disadvantage of this hotel is that the pictures are a bit misleading. It has a view but it is very close to a loud construction site and overall the place lacks charm. Also, the only divider between the restroom and the bedroom is a transparent glass, so you should also consider if this works for you. I hope they see this feedback and...

We booked 2 nights here. Upon arriving on the 1st night, we realized this place was not for us and went somewhere else for the 2nd night.||First off, I kept getting texts from the hotel telling me the check in was 3pm-8pm. We arrived at 7:30pm but I got the impression that the front desk staff may not have waited if we were a minute beyond 8pm. We later realized this was a bed & breakfast and not a hotel of any kind, so our mistake in the first place.||Yes, they have parking but what they don't tell you is that you have to reverse down a long driveway to get into a parking spot. All of the closer parking spaces to the entrance were either taken or belonged to other establishments. ||All the pictures of Expedia seem to suggest there is an ocean view. Our mistake again, always read the fine print. We were in a room right in front of the reception desk with no view at all.||The only saving grace was the room was exceptionally clean. Then we tried to sleep through the night but the a/c would go off then kick on what felt like every 5 minutes so we did not get a good night's sleep.||I know they are a small business and this place could work for others, but it did not...

I booked this hotel through Expedia, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, the receptionist canceled our reservation without asking for our permission, which was shocking and unprofessional. The lack of communication from the front desk wasted a lot of our time and caused us to be late for an important event we were in town for.

To make matters worse, we were then offered the same room at a higher price, which felt unfair and frustrating. We had no choice but to accept it due to time constraints.

The room itself was far from acceptable. The shower was leaking heavily into the bedroom area, soaking the floor and making the space uncomfortable and messy. Clearly, there was a lack of maintenance and care for guest comfort.

Overall, the poor communication, unapproved cancellation, price change, and low-quality room made this stay a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel, and I hope they take steps to improve their service and transparency with guests...
