We booked the best room, and it was absolutely gross. Felt that we were dirty the entire room in the hotel.
First of all, our towels were dirty with blood stains on them. Our bedsheets were dirty as well. The bathroom was gross with the toilet and the tub having stains, which were obviously not cleaned. The shower didn’t work properly, and we had to call them to fix it.
Regarding breakfast, there were literally fruit flies swarming ALL AROUND the breakfast. So gross. Breakfast is super crowded.
It took us forever to figure out how to lock and open the doors. They just give you like four keys, and that’s it. We decided not to lock our room for one night because it took forever to open. Lock system can definitely be updated. So outdated.
Remind you that we booked a room with balcony and “view”, and it was a little uncomfortable coming out of the room because it came right onto the breakfast spot. So everyone can see what you are doing.
The WiFi was horrible. You keep losing connection. We brought this up many times to their attention, and they kept saying it was fixed. Never was, so we gave up.
They are not that responsive on WhatsApp. They can do a better job. We just came from an amazing place in Florence, and the owner was so responsive. So comparing that against this, they can do a LOT better.
It was such a bad experience for us that we decided to just give up our money and stay in another hotel, but couldn’t find anything last minute.
I will say that the staff who served the breakfast were amazing.
There are MANY better options all throughout Rome. This one is...
Read moreWhat an amazing find! ||We decided to stay here for 2 nights before embarking on our Greek cruise and what a great place to stay for exploring the beautiful city of Roma!! ||My brother booked it through Booking.com for a good price (a fair one for me as I was a single occupancy). There was 5 of us in total. ||The rooms are clean and modern. Bed was really comfortable! Shower was great as after spending a day exploring Roma in the horrendous 35 degree heat a cold shower was just what was needed! ||The balcony was lovely. Yes the view is just the top of buildings but that was nice! What do you expect when staying in central Roma? I am sitting here currently at 0600 in the morning and it’s just lovely! (See pics).||The brekkie was really nice! It is a buffet type style and staff offer to make omelette/ frittata type things which we didn’t have. Plenty of fresh fruit, yogurt cereals, bread and meat, and amazing (what looked like homemade) pastries! ||We did have an issue with the lift breaking on us when returning to our room which was an experience to say the least but the staff where absolute life savers and kept reassuring us whilst we where awaiting the fire service. So do use it at your own risk! The subsequent walks up the 4 flights of stairs where not too bad considering. ||So if I decide to return to Roma again in the future I would definitely book this place again! 5 stars! Thank-you for...
Read moreMy husband and I closed out our honeymoon in Rome, and we stayed for three nights at Arch Rome Suites. We were trying to choose a more budget-friendly option at this point in the trip, and this boutique hotel was quite affordable, especially given its prime location (we walked everywhere — Colosseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Foundation, Trastevere — except to the Vatican, which was a 7-euro taxi).
The rooms were clean, but more compact than advertised. The space was very, er, efficient, and the bath products began and ended with a combination shampoo/body wash. Another downside: The receptionist leaves at 7 p.m. and you need three keys to get into the building, into the floor with the rooms and then into your own room. I asked the receptionists for some help with dinner reservations, and they did hook us up for one night, but I kind of got the feeling that was not what they were there for.
The breakfast was great, and again, couldn't have picked a...
